[redacted]’ checking account became overdrawn in December 2011.  At that time, [redacted] mailed [redacted] numerous overdraft notices and letters explaining the status of her account and requested payment to cure the overdraft.  [redacted] was unresponsive to the...

bank’s correspondence.  The balance owing on [redacted]’ account was subsequently reported to the credit reporting agencies.  [redacted] discloses its credit reporting practices to all accountholders in the Deposit Account Agreement which was provided to [redacted] at account opening.    In July 2012, [redacted] paid the amount due on her checking account and [redacted] updated her credit report to show that the amount in question was paid in full.  Based on a review of [redacted]’ account and credit reporting history, the information reported is an accurate reflection of her account history with [redacted].  At this time we consider the matter closed.

[redacted] was contacted by a Branch Manager with FirstBank.  The details of the two disputes were discussed including the denial reasons for one of the disputed transactions.  [redacted] was unaware that although the branch could not issue a temporary debit card they could issue him a...

temporary ATM card if needed.  As a courtesy to [redacted], FirstBank refunded the daily overdraft fees.  As the transaction in question had both the debit card and chip present, [redacted] intends to contact the merchant for a copy of the receipt and will contact the bank if further action is required.  [redacted] stated that he was satisfied with the bank’s resolution.

As previously summarized, we reviewed the transactions in question and determined no errors were made in processing Ms. [redacted]’s gasoline purchase which she made with her Visa debit card.  We are happy to discuss this matter further with Ms. [redacted], but consider this matter closed as no errors were made.

A FirstBank representative spoke with [redacted] on October 31, 2016 in response to a post she made on social media regarding a stop payment she tried to place on an unauthorized transaction.  The FirstBank representative assisted [redacted] by placing a stop payment on the charge and, as a...

courtesy, refunded the $34.00 overdraft fee.  [redacted] subsequently filed a formal complaint regarding her experience and requested a refund.  A FirstBank representative attempted to contact [redacted] on November 1, 2016 and November 4, 2016 to discuss the complaint but had to leave a message. As we were not able to reach [redacted] and the fee was already refunded, we are considering this complaint closed.
