[To assist us in bringing this matter to a close, you must give us a reason why you are rejecting the responseIf no reason is received your complaint will be closed as Answered] Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because: There has been no proof shown that these aides are qualified in the state of VA or qualified to handle a dementia patient.There billing has been a mess since the Company started, therefore after several months of trying to correct their billing after it had been charged to the credit card and sent to the insurance Company seems way out of line and gone uncorrected for months, I asked for the Company to email me the weekly statement for my review and to send back a correction if necessary, if no corrections I said that I would provide a credit card number in which to chargeThis has not happened, and I have no answer from them regarding the last statements sent by US mail.They seem to feel that I should pay for an aide showing up minutes before their shift starts or if an aide should hang around talking, I should also pay for that, therefore during that period I am paying for aides at once totaling $per hour!!! and neither of them talking care of my Dad because they are talking...First Light seemed to have skipped the issue of aides wanting to spend the night, charging the same as an hourly aide instead of the live in rate which is lower Regards, [redacted] ***

In response to the complaint placed by [redacted] ***, received August 19, 2017, offer the following explanation:Each caregiver who has offered care to [redacted] ***s father has been completely qualified and more than Competent and experienced in working with dementia patientsFirst Light Home Care adheres to the policies and requirements set forth by the state of Virginia.o Our invoices are issued on a weekly basis via email with the payment being applied either to aCredit card or automatically drafted from a checking account on WednesdayFrom the start of her father's Services until August 1, that is exactly how [redacted] was being billed, with a Credit card being used and with no comment or issue from herOn August 1, | contacted [redacted] because the credit card she had been using was declinedShe informed me that there had been a Security breach on the card and she wasn't going to continue to pay by cardShe wanted all invoices mailed to her homeI began mailing the invoices but asked for a two week deposit, as that is our policyThe two week deposit was never sent

This healthcare Co was hired by my Fathers girlfriend *** *** and the Geriatric Care Manager Vanessa B*** to provide home care for my Father
They have provided inadequate aides, with little or no training with dementia patients
I have had nothing but troubles getting their statements for payment
Now the aides insist upon spending the nights due to their travel/commute issues and I am now expected to provide for their accommodations after their hour shift is completed

From the start of her father's Services until August 1, 2017 that is exactly how [redacted] was being billed, with a Credit card being used and with no comment or issue from her. On August 1, 2017 | contacted [redacted] because the credit card she had been using was declined. She informed me that there had been a Security breach on the card and she wasn't going to continue to pay by card. She wanted all invoices mailed to her home. I began mailing the invoices but asked for a two week deposit, as that is our policy. The two week deposit was never sent.

This has not happened, and I have no answer from them regarding the last 2 statements sent by US mail.They seem to feel that I should pay for an aide showing up 30 minutes before their shift starts or if an aide should hang around talking, I should also pay for that, therefore during that period I am paying for 2 aides at once totaling $51.00 per hour!!! and neither of them talking care of my Dad because they are talking...First Light seemed to have skipped the issue of aides wanting to spend the night, charging the same as an hourly aide instead of the live in rate which is lower.
