I was told in the last telephone conversation with this company that FirstPoint,Inchad documentation they were unwilling to share with me because they already mailed a letter to me in which I never receivedI asked the agent to send the letter again because I didn't receive it and he said they don't mail out anything but that first noticeI asked for documentation from the agent and he said he wouldn't share it with meNow they respond by saying they have requested the validation documents from their "client"Why would they need to request the documents if the agent I spoke with said they had them but wouldn't share them with me? This response makes absolutely no sense

We have requested validation with signature page from our client. We will forward this to you when it is received. In the meantime when a consumer claims fraud we need the following information from them.i)    Consumer must have an ID Theft Affidavit and Police Report or FTC ID Theft...

Report showing incident date. ( FTC ID Theft Report  is now available to consumers at https://www.identitytheft.gov/.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 7, 2016/07/20) */
The dispute was emailed to our client, [redacted], and they have recalled the account from our office. This account was not reported on Mr. [redacted]'s personal credit file.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (2000,...

(The consumer indicated he/she ACCEPTED the response from the business.)
I accept the response / resolution, however that is precisely what I asked your company to do before I had to get the Revdex.com involved as a third-party. There should more self-regularity on behalf of your company as this was a black and white mistake. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Initial Business Response /* (1000, 6, 2015/10/05) */
Our agency has reviewed the consumer's account and it was determined that there is still an outstanding balance within our agency. An itemization of his payments were mailed to the consumer on 10/2/2015. We hope this will assist him in...

understanding his current balance. However, if he can provide additional documentation showing the last payment of $42.50 has been paid we will updated his account and notify the credit reporting agency the account has been paid in full.
Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 8, 2015/10/09) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
The payments were being autodrafted by FirstPoint. The final month of the payments, they actually called me and took the last payment by phone. I thought it was odd, but apparently it is indicative of their records. However, 3 years have gone by so I do not have my final records, either. I will not be paying this $42.50 after three years of no contact from them.
Final Business Response /* (4000, 13, 2015/11/02) */
After reviewing the phone call between the collector and the consumer, findings are below:
When our collector set up the auto draft they set it for 5 payments of $42.50 and the collector should have set the auto draft for 6 payments of $42.50. The last $42.50 was never drafted out of the consumers account.
Total Listed: $355.00
Payments Received
04/03/2012 100.00
05/15/2012 42.50
06/15/2012 42.50
07/15/2012 42.50
08/15/2012 42.50
09/15/2012 42.50

Total Payments Received $312.50
Final Consumer Response /* (4200, 15, 2015/11/04) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
If they failed to draft the last payment, that is not my problem. I will not pay this $41 under any circumstances. Its not about the money, but rather their shady business practices.
I still contend that they called me to collect the last payment, which I played via phone, and for whatever reason it was not logged into their records. I'm not paying it again ever. I'll die before I pay.
