Review: We hired [redacted] to redo our kitchen on [redacted], 2013 under the following agreements: 1) The job would be completed 2-3 weeks "at the most" 2) He had a crew of 2 men + himself at ALL times to work and clean up each day. 3) he would have a "professional tile man" other then himself or the two workers to install the tiles. 4) The cabinets were to be purchased from "a very reputable" company and installed in "2 weeks" 4) The work area, kitchen, would be isolated and the dining room and hallway entrance would "always be covered with a thick, heavy drop cloth" to avoid dust going through the house. 5) All garbage was to be bagged and taken away each night after the day's work. 6) He and his company would work full time, everyday 8am - 5pm until the job was to be completed, to assure 2-3 weeks maximum time for completion. All for these issues, were strongly reiterated over and over before agreeing to do the job and every time he agreed to all. we were assured that he or his company would not have any other jobs to be worked on until the completion of ours. He was there the first day with one man and then, took the entire week off. He sporadically came with at times no return phone calls. He NEVER had a crew, only one person for the first day as of today [redacted]. He had harassed me for advance payments of $500, twice. Calling my cell phone and job, for more money for "labor". He occasionally covered the work area, now our wood floors have a dull finish due to the mortar, grout, plaster and tile cutting dust that covered everything on out ground floor day after day. When he did cover the area, it was with the thinnest, flimsiest, cheapest piece of plastic that home depot sells. that would be on the floor after he left for days. He never had a tile man, professional or otherwise do the job. He did the floor so crooked and poorly spaced without ever using the appropriate cement board underneath that he told me he's redo it all and did not. He partially replaced a few and I still had complained that he did not use spacers and the tiles are not level.; no professional tile man would have done this "handyman" tile job. Our cabinets are still not installed and the contractor will not tell me who or where he had ordered them from, supposedly, over 7 weeks ago, which he told us he did with the initial payment. After he installed some wiring, our bathroom lights, upstairs were not working immediately. he told me he would look into that and has not. He has lied, misled and basically taken our money, over $6,300 as of now without doing anything he promised us. He even said he would gut the entire kitchen walls, ceilings and floors and has not...not to mention he is still to do an opening window between the dining room and living room that he promised and agreed to do.Desired Settlement: He has breached our contract and agreements in everyway, shape and form. I have paid this man, over $6,300 as of far, including $1000 in advance, but he has not done anything at all that he said he would. I will now have to pay for the floors to be redone, in the kitchen and the wood floors. I still have no cabinets with zero information on when and who he purchased them from. he is 1 month over his deadline for completion with no end in sight. I have an electrical problem, that I am pretty sure, can be proved that he caused. I am shelling $50 - $60 a night in eating out due to no kitchen as he promised. We are held hostage by this fraud and con man. I would like a $5000 refund for a complete job that we agreed to and has not done a lick of it and if there is floor damage and electrical damage he should pay for those repairs as well. This man is a liar, fraud, scam man and con artist. He really should be arrested but I would like $5000 plus damages returned to me of the 6300 that he has conned us out of. (By the way, our deck, which was just newly stained prior to his work (1 week) has mortar and plaster into the wood. He should reimburse us that $200 as well for the deck stain. He rarely if ever took the garbage with him either, bags were all over our backyard and side of the house for days at a time. the list is endless of his contract, written and verbal breaches,. [redacted] paid back partially what was given to hime and has left us with 1000s of dollars of work that we have to redo that he did. He should not be allowed to work on anyone's home and should have criminal charges brought against him for fraud and robbery.

Review: [redacted], owner of FIS contstruction and myself entered into contract for a kitchen remodel. We picked out cabinets from him, who he said where to be delivered within a certain timeframe. The work so far has been delayed over 4 weeks. He basically did not show up at my house for almost the entire first week. He's done 2 hrs worth of work each day. No crew members are with him in contradiction to his promise of work. The cabinets that he ordered were to be delivered and then the contractor has come up with excuses and delay of delivery, then he had to go pick them up at the pier, and when asked for the name and order number, he just would not give us the information. Later, he told my boyfriend that the cabinets get damaged and will take another week. At this point this man is a scam. I just realized he pulled this same scam with some other customer. We have given him advances and more than half the money in the contract amount has been given to him. In total, $6,300 and in addition to that 4 weeks over the finish date (7/*/2013) and we don't have a kitchen nor can we cook. We are spending between 40-60 each evening on dinners.Desired Settlement: I want my money back. I will not ask him to reimburse me for the additional expenses incurred on not having the work done in time, but I want my money back.
