My interaction with the folks at Discovery shattered my pre concieved ideas about used car dealerships and salespeopleMy first contact with Travis L [redacted] came about when I called in about a specific vehicle they had listed on the internetAfter some discussion and negotiation around this particular vehicle I realized that this vehicle was not really most appropriate for my needsTravis was very thorough in helping me figure out what I really did needThe ideal vehicle was not in their current inventory but this did not deter TravisHe was extremely service minded customer oriented in his approachHe suggested that I check out some of the vehicles that were in inventory at Auto Advantage in Fletcher and assured me that if they did not have what I was looking for, he would make it a point to find me "the right vehicle" This is exactly what he did! Armed with a good understanding of what I was looking for and the budget constraints I was working within, Travis came days later and happily reported that he had found me exactly the car I neededThey gave me top dollar on my trade in vehicle and I could not be more pleased with the "creampuff" that Travis found for meThank you to Travis and the Discovery / Auto Advantage team!

Johana,We spoke on the phone this morning about some updates to my Revdex.com case.In my Original complaint I noted that "I could see that they had went out to talk to Ryan *** about the issues." What I saw was that the service department walked up to where his desk is, but I couldn't see who was
behind the desk It turned out that Ryan was actually not there as he was getting married I sent an e-mail to Ryan with a copy of what I had sent the Revdex.com just to let him know what to expect He replied back to me to let me know that he was not in the office and that he was getting married.I didn't hear back from him after that for quite some time so I finally e-mailed him back After my e-mail he called me and we worked it out over the phone that I would pay the deductible on my warranty ($100) and they would fix the issue. This is the e-mail chain (I also attached the warranty paper to this e-mail):

On, Wednesday, August 10, 2016, I initiated a used car deal with Blake M*** of Discovery Chevrolet Buick GMC in Boone, NC MrM*** identified himself as the General Sales Manager at the dealership The deal was for the purchase of a Mini Cooper Paceman, VIN number ending in MrM*** and I came to an agreement on price and down payment on Wednesday, August 10th for the car I received an invoice via email showing the purchase price and the down payment of $ I then called MrM*** and provided him with my credit card for the down payment, which he accepted I then initiated a rental car (driving from PA to NC) and overnight accommodations due to the 8+ hour drive On Thursday at 10:20AM, MrM*** reached out to me and requested my driver’s license so that he could have the paperwork ready I quickly sent him a copy of my license
On Tuesday, August 16th at 8:40AMI reached out to MrM*** to make sure we were set for me to pick up the car the following day I gave him my estimated time of arrival I then received the following message from MrM***:
“Actually, I have horrible news We had a hail storm yesterday and yours along with other got absolutely destroyedI am seeing if I can find you another one comparable because it’s for sure going to be totaled out.”
I immediately called MrM*** who informed me he would call me back, as he was on the lot with the insurance adjuster going over all of the damage
After about an hour, and looking up weather reports for Boone, NC, I called the dealership A nice woman answered the phone I asked her about the hail storm, she informed me there was no hail storm and the vehicles on the lot were perfectly fine At that point I asked to speak with Blake M***’s manager She forwarded me to Ryan B*** I spoke with MrB*** about the highly fabricated lie told to me by MrM*** I also told MrB*** I expected my deposit returned He was unable to tell me what happened with the deal and the car On August 16th I emailed MrB*** and asked for photographic evidence of the damageAs of 10:00AM on August 17th, I have not received any correspondence from MrB*** This leads me to believe that the car was sold out from under me and my agreement which I have in writing from MrM*** has been breached I sent additional correspondence to MrB*** via email on Tuesday, August 16th, I had told him my overnight accommodations were nonrefundable and I would expect Discovery Chevrolet Buick GMC would pick up the cost due to the lies and breach of contract The cost to me for my accommodations is $207.34, I told MrB*** in my email correspondence that I would forward my reservation as proof of payment for the overnight stay Again there has been no response
