Our technician is very skilled and experienced.  Customer's Nordine forced air furnace had ceased to heat.  Technician determined the rollout switch had tripped as a safety step.  He exercised best practices by resetting the rollout switch.  Often these resets last for a long...

long time.  There is no way to know that it will trip again.  In this case, it must have.  
We perform over 1,000 service calls per month.  Our deep experience usually would result in a follow up call that the reset did not last.  In that case, we would return and perform a more substantial repair.  In this case because the customer did not call us back, we were not able to resolve this and it appears that we brought no value.
I believe our technician must have been in some hurry (understandably this time of year - everyone is cold !), and thus did not communicate with the customer well enough to explain how this could go.  Therefore,
We will write off this service call, and engage in no further pursuit of payment for it.  We regret that this did not go smoothly, and misunderstanding occurred.
