Overall the job they did on our driveway wasn't very good quality. When they first started pouring the slab for our garage they had to rip out the end of the drain to refit it to the right grade. So because of that, we aren't sure if there is the 5 inches of concrete we paid for. The garage is narrow in the back by 2 inches as well. There was suppose to be a 4 inch curb around the garage. There is a crown in the back of the garage, so the curb isn't strait in the back. Also, in the back of the house the patio area drained towards the house. They came to fix the patio, and they cut a chunk of it out and redid it. Then it left a pool in-between the garage and the house. So they came back and cut another chunk out between the garage and the house and did a very poor job cleaning up the excess concrete and brushing it to match the other concrete. Even after this change, there is still a pool in the middle. Then, as winter approached we realized the concrete wasn't pitched steep enough away from the house so the water drains towards the side of the house and it turns to ice patches by the side door and the patio door exit. Next, where they ran out of concrete when filling it last summer we now have a crack. When they ran out of the concrete they were they were trying to keep the concrete wet so it wouldn't dry while they were waiting for more concrete to come. We are concerned that this is what caused the crack that has now appeared.
Overall, our main concerns are that our patio looks horrible and is messy, as well as the way the water drains. It drains to our house and water is getting in. It is also causing dangerous ice patches in the winter.
We tried talking to the owners multiple times. They didn't care about helping us. They said "we're not going anywhere". We really don't know what that means. They have said multiple times they would stop back to check on things and talk to us, which they have never done. They requested pictures of all the issues which we emailed to them. This company was recommended by the village of Kimberly, and they were not the cheapest of all estimates, but we wanted the best, which is what they were suppose to according to the village.
