Thank you for contacting me by mailYour letter has brought to my attention the email address issue through our new website provider and is in the process of being corrected so future customer communication
emails are not neglectedRegarding reference complaint submitted on 1/5/assigned ID ***The customer purchased the bulbs for his aquarium light fixture based on his description of what was needed for the fixture he purchased through the internetBoth Fish Bowl employees were present at the time of purchase and at the time of the returnThe customer was told at the time of purchase that if the light bulbs didn't work in his fixture it is the store policy that the item would be tested for function and damageIf the bulbs were not damaged and functioned properly only store credit will be given if the functioning bulbs were returnedThis policy has been in place for such incidences due to the abuse of customers returning items not purchased at Fish Bowl or returning damaged itemsThe customers point regarding the posting of a sign has been addressed and a sign has been placed at the register in addition to the statement being made to each customer that all sales are final and only store credit will be given if there is a return requiredThe customer became verbally abusive and he used profanity several times while other customers with children were in the store He banged on the counter cursing and became threatening to the point that my female staff member who is expected her first baby, stepped back from the counter and stated that if he couldn't calm down she would have no choice but to call the police to escort him from the storeHe was given $store creditHis wife returned and asked for product at which time his was offered the very best fish food, Omega, and he said it wasn't good enoughHe has in his possession the store creditPrior to purchasing Fish Bowl Pet Express in I had been a customer for many yearsThe policy of no refunds is not new or dramatically different from the previous owners' policyPlease don't hesitate contact me directly if you need additional details regarding The Fish Bowl Pet Express position regarding the incidentRegards, *** ***

Complaint: [redacted]I am rejecting this response because:There are some desrepancies in what was mention in the reply from the business.1) When I went in to see about the bulbs. I told him what I was looking for. T5 21watt 6700K bulbs. he told me that he had t5 10000k Bulbs. he said "they Should Work" I had mentioned to him that I had just purchased some 39 watt 10000k bulbs and they didnt work. 2) before I even purchased the bulbs I asked " If these dont work can I return them?"  His exact reply was  "oh sure  NO problem bring them back" at that point I put on counter and looked for something else that I needed. Yall didnt have what I needed so I went back to counter and purchased bulbs.3) I was never told anything like was stated about them testing the bulbs for functionality or damage. If that was true then their Employees didnt test the buld nor did they open the boxes.4) If this policy had been in place for years then why did their employee's say that " This is s NEW policy that just started, Had I purchased them 3 weeks before then it wouldnt be an issue"5) I did use a curse word when I asked about where was it posted. Then I got furious when she popped off  " I can go make a sign if I wanted one"  At that point I almost lost it.  I bet they didnt mention that part in their explanation.6) It is blatently obvious that The Business is trying to make me out to be the bad guy, but if the policy had been posted and or the employess tell the customers of their return policy. We wouldnt be having this conversation.All I want is my money back. If you dont want me in the store than thats fine too. My wife can come in and take care of it being she has the credit slip. I never had it.  At that point we can all dust off our hands on go our seperate ways.Regards,[redacted]
