Hello, thank you for bringing this to my attention. I disappointed that Mrs. [redacted] has chosen to report me to the Revdex.com but I can say its very well know practice of any hotel to pay in advance for your hotel stay. stays are paid at the time of booking. I was the person that spoke directly with Mrs. [redacted] and can assure you she was told that she would be charged in full at the time of booking as we are a seasonal business and her dates were for our busiest season. I also provided the information that we have a cancellation policy, and that if she needed to cancel we were happy to provide a full refund with no fees as long as it was 72 hours before her stay. IE 72 hour cancellation policy. She did call and ask for a refund of one day explaining that she had booked a fishing trip in Seward and would not be in on time and that they would stay with us after fishing and use it as a day of rest. We laughed and I said no problem, and called my front desk to issue the refund, for HALF the reservation. I then had a family emergency and was gone for several nights. I then received a call from Fisholigy a man who I use for our local fishing trips and he asked if I had refunded her money, I told him I had and Id double check. At that moment I called my desk and the young girl working apologized explaining that she had completely forgotten and would do it at that time, I told her I would personally do it and then issued the refund. Then out of the blue a week later I receive a call from Mark with Fisholigy saying Mrs. [redacted] was furious that she did not receive a full refund. I explain to him the conversation I had with her only wanting to cancel one day and that I was confused. He agreed that he understood it the same as me and he was confused also. I then called my front desk and asked for the completion of the refund for her and called her. She was very kind and understood that employees sometimes do not take care of things the way we want. She thanked me for calling and I apologized for the miscommunication. she was refunded in full and this issue should not be one any longer.
