Bureau:
I have reviewed the offer made by the business in reference to complaint ID[redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
My car was not hooked up to anything when I was walking towards my car. My car was still actually still in the parking space where I parked.  There were two men outside of my car when I was walking towards it. I told them I was getting ready to move my car and their reply was that since my car was spotted I would have to call the [redacted]. After telling me that is when they hooked my car. And futhermore they didnt give me a number to call until they where pulling. I dont agree with this at all.  Even when I spoke with the second person on that night, he said my car should not have been towed if it was not moved of the spot by the company. So im not understanding this at all.

I spoke with the business[redacted]. he states that the 190 is an afterhours fee since the business was closed at the time the car was towed. If the customer wanted to wait until they were open in the morning it would be a 125 fee for the car since it was hooked up and towed away.

Review: I was visiting my cousin and his parking lot is a private lot. I pulled in a spot in front of his apartment to take my bags in the house. When I was on my way to my car I see two guys around my car I tell them I am about to move it now. Their reply to me was, "your car has been spotted and you have got to call my bossman who is at the entrance of the apartment complex". I wait to receive a number or some way to contact the man at the top of the parking, but I never received any information. At this time they proceed to push my car out of the spot. Still I have no information and they just continue to go on with what they were doing. They then hook my car up to the tow truck and finally give me the number after my car is hooked up and they proceed to pull off. I call the company phone and they tell me in order for them to drop my car it would be $125, but I ask they woman how would they drop it if they pulled off. She then proceeds to tell me that its nothing she can do because ahe is not the driver. I said ok and hung up the phone. I called back to ask more question about retrieving my car. She says its 125 to get it in the morning or 190 if I want it tonight. I simply asked why is it a difference in price when I was never truly giving the chance to pay the 125 in the parking lot to drop my car. She gets in this nasty mood and begins to fuss and finally hangs up on me. I called back and ask to speak to a [redacted] and when this mans gets on the phone he seems understanding. He tells me that they would not have towed my car if it was not moved out of the space I was park in by time I got to my car. Which it wasn't! I tell the man this and he flys off and tells me I'm lying and starts yelling at me real disrespectfully. I brought it to his attention that his actions and what he is saying to me is n9t adding up and he hangs up on me. I then call back and by this I am frustrated because he is telling me my car basically shouldn't been towed but when I tell him what happened which I told the first lady I spoke with, he hangs up in me. So the last time I call I ask for the [redacted] information and he pauses and finally yells im the [redacted]. Now Im not tryin to be racial or sterotypical, but the [redacted] name is [redacted], and the guy I spoke with was foreign and im not for sure I know or heard of too many [redacted] with an middle eastern accent. I am very dissatisfied with the way I was treated by this company. I feel it was unfair and not handled in a professional manner.Desired Settlement: By me working in a customer based environment, I know how customers are supposed to be treated. I would suggest maybe some customer service training courses. No customer should be yelled at, lied to, or treated with a level of disrespectful unprofessionalism.

Response:

Spoke with [redacted]. He said that when the tow truck gets to a vehicle they first check the spot they are in, if it is an unmarked spot they check for a permit, if there is no permit the car is then documented with pictures that are time stamped to make sure there is no damage done to the car. If the driver had arrived and the car wasn't hooked up he could have gotten in it, I was told this happens often.

They towed me legally, I'm fine with that. However the tow company broke into my car with a slim jim to remove the parking break to tow it. My paint is chipped on my door, my lock cylinder is malfunctioning and my driver's side door doesn't close all the way anymore thanks to them breaking in my car. They assume no responsibility. Horrible tow company.
