Fit Body Life Reviews (4)

Review: I purchased a 12-week fitness coaching program from Fit Body Life which promised diet and exercise instruction for muscle gain and fat loss. The program required up-front payment for all 12-weeks and yet a no-refund policy; the unconscionability of this set-up didn't occur to me at the time. I received diet and exercise instruction for a program that was scheduled to start in a few days. Upon receipt of my "customized" diet and fitness program, I immediately cancelled because the program was negligent by instructing starvation (excessively low calorie ranges); I wasn't interested in paying $500 for this negligence. I immediately attempted to cancel the Fit Body Life program (which hadn't even started yet). [redacted], owner of Fit Body Life, refused to refund my money because of its no refund policy, so I did my research: Fit Body Life's no refund policy is void under the California Health Studio Act, Ca.Civil 1812.81 which requires a 5-day cancellation period for health studio contracts. Health studio contracts are those providing instruction, training or assistance in body building, exercising, or figure development, which the Fit Body Life program clearly is. [redacted], however, states the law doesn't apply to him. [redacted], in essence, has a business where his "no refund" policy gives him unfair advantage to keep clients money despite Fit Body Life's negligent, unfair, and misleading information; [redacted] doesn't refund money "just because he doesn't have to". He has all of the power and it's despicable. Not surprisingly, he is also a bully; he made personal jabs at me during our correspondence. It's unconscionable to allow a business to take advantage, especially when a California Law so clearly prohibits this exact behavior.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of $500, I would like the Revdex.com to forewarn consumers of Fit Body Life's unconscionable business practice, and I would like Fit Body Life to revise their Program Agreement to contain a 5-day cancellation policy per the California Health Studio Act, Ca.Civil 1812.81-94.

Review: I have been training with [redacted] (owner) of Scion Entertainment Group LLC his company provides personal training. I renewed my membership on 5/31 to continue my weight loss journey with [redacted] for three additional months 36 sessions since I had success, my testimonial is on his website. [redacted] texted me on July 20th to cancel training due to food poisoning and I have not heard from him since. I contacted him on his cell and all of his email accounts. Today, I discovered from one of the business owners in the suite that he shares that [redacted] has not returned calls, emails or text messages from the landlord, employees or customers for three weeks. Frighten by this behavior because it is unlike him, I did some additional research to find out that he is alive and tweeting messages on [redacted]. He has abandoned his in person business, but still maintains his online business. I am looking into pressing charges against him. My goal from the Revdex.com is to have his licensed revoked in California; please help me with this process. I just discovered online that his business license was revoked in Nevada on 10/31/2009: http://www.nevadacorporates.com/corp/229021.html

Business ID [redacted]. Also, there are three additional complaints on your website with similar complaints. Although I renewed 5/31 [redacted] has only provided four weeks of training, I am due a refund of $907. I have contacted my credit card company to request a refund. I do not want anyone else to be a victim like me. [redacted] is a serial thief and deserves to be behind bars for his fraudulent activity.Desired Settlement: [redacted] is a serial thief, his business license was revoked in Nevada 10/2009 http://www.nevadacorporates.com/corp/229021.html I would like to see the same done in California and hopefully across the nation to prevent his bad business practices from continuing. I would like a refund, but accept the fact that this may never happen. At minimum, I would like to protect the next consumer who is convinced that his business can be trusted.

Review: I purchased an online fitness program from the above referenced company a few months ago. I was not happy with many things and contacted the vendor asking for a refund or to restart the program 2 times. He did not respond to either of my 2 emails. I feel that as a customer who paid for services I am entitled to express my dissatisfaction and should receive a response from the vendor. Instead, the vendor chose to ignore my emails which just made things worse. He may not agree with me but responding to my emails is the least he can do.Here are the reasons why I feel dissatisfied and disappointed:* Program not as it was described prior to purchase: -Program not tailored for me based on long questionnaire. I felt as though my questionnaire had not been considered when putting my program together -Longer workouts than I was initially told -Exercises not appropriate for me due to knee injury (main reason to get program) -Meal plan not daily, as specified in program description -Among other things...* Communication issues with coach: -I felt he was bothered by me contacting him -I was not provided the support I needed I feel like I was given the answers I wanted to hear in order tomotivate me to buy the program, but it turned out to be very differentafter the fact. Overall I feel misled.Desired Settlement: Ideally I would like a refund, or to be able to start over but with a different trainer, and with a program based on what was told to me from the start via emails, phone conversations and based on the program description provided on the website. Also,I would like to make sure the customer's voices are heard not only when they are happy but when they are unhappy as well. Being ignored was worse than my dissatisfaction. Had the coach responded to my concerns I wouldn't be typing this complaint.

Review: I purchased a program from [redacted] last year and completed it. He sent me a survey to fill out about my experience, which I did. At no point did he mention that he would post that on conjunction with progress photos that I had sent him of me in my sports bra and shorts on his website. As a matter of fact, at the beginning questionnaire before I started the program, he asked if he had my permission to post my pictures to which I declined. I recently googled myself to find that he had posted my survey and my progress photos with my full name on his website, without my consent. I am mortified, as I had made it clear that this was not meant to be posted. Further he never told me he had posted them. I made calls to the business and the phone numbers appear to be out of service. I'm not sure if the business is even still operating but the website is still up. He posted these pics almost a year after I took the program WITHOUT my consent.Desired Settlement: To have my photos and name removed from the website as they were posted without my consent.
