In Mr***'s complaint he states he sent a certified letter but it was never signed for which means we never received it If we had received the letter we would have signed for it So without receiving a letter stating he wanted to cancel his membership there is no way we could have
known Mr*** called us on 3/asking about being charged still and we informed him that he had to pay his balance which he did and then we did cancel his membership so he will no longer be charged

I'm sorry you feel you were defrauded Fit Zone operates like every gym out there In our contract (which you get a copy of when you sign up and renew each year) states the cancellation process and what you have to do to cancel your membership In our contract it also states
cancellations have to be done by the 10th of the month and looking at your contract and the 10th is circled showing it was pointed out to you when you renewed Our cancellation is the same as all gyms which is you need to come into the gym in person or send a certified letter asking us to cancel A phone call or email could be sent by anyone so it's in the best interest of our members that we don't allow that All Fit Zone staff is equipped to cancel any membership and does not have to be done by the owners Fit Zone has a manager and that runs the front desk operations I am told you did have a phone discussion with the front desk manager who did state to you that cancellations have to be done by the 10th in order for you not to be charged on the 17th Once the EFT is sent to the 3rd party vendor at midnight on the 10th of each month, there is no way of stopping it from being processed. You also renewed your membership with an employee not the owner He worked for Fit Zone (and before *** ***) for a long time but was never the owner He had no authority to make any special agreements or arrangements with you The reason for a contract is that everyone is treated the same and that is why we hold everyone to their contract We have billed you correctly per your signed contract for the time you had your membership up until you requested your cancellation properly

I do not own this club any longer We sold it April 4th, That being said, the complaint is unjustified because he did not cancel through the proper procedures It is in the paperwork how to very simply cancel his membership I will forward this to the new owner of Fit Zone so
they can see

This does not address the issue of the lack of communicationLike I said, the contract was not available to me as I had lost my things in the moveI made contact and it was never returnedTo the point where I get charged againThis could have been avoided if the owners had just responded in a timely mannerWhich they never didI contacted them each time and was informed of different aspects of the contract each timeIt is laughable to address one part of the message while completely ignoring the fact that it is the lack of communication and transparency which is my major complaintTake my money for services but don't have the decency to return calls after I leave several messages over months

Fit Zone continued to bill you and tried to reach out to you multiple times regarding the balance. Attached is a copy of the membership agreement, which every member receives. In section 3 the document explains your dues are for access whether you use the facility or not. In section 6 the document explains the payment authorization and written proof of cancellation required in order to gain a refund. The current membership has now been canceled and we will not reach out to you any further.
