WORST GYM EVER
This gym had completely obnoxious female staff walking around, eye-balling the patrons and pestering them about wearing a mask.

Also, they do not want serious exercising. If you make too much noise you will be pestered and kicked out.

In the agreement it says they can cancel your membership and not refund you.

Horrible gym. Terrible staff.

They pander to women, while calling themselves a "co-ed" gym.

Absolutely useless, pos.

This company has made multiple unauthorized withdraws from my bank account.I called on January 13, 2015 to cancel my gym membership. When I called, I was told that I have to give a 30 day notice of cancellation, therefore, I still had to pay January's dues. I agreed and gave them my debit card number. Again on February 6, 2015, my account was charged for one month of membership. On February 12, 2015 I went in person to find out why my account had been charged. I was told that my cycle ran from the 5th of each month to the 5th of the next month and since I had cancelled after the 5th I had to pay for a whole other month. I expected a prorated rate as it was only 7 days into the billing cycle and was told that was not possible. From this point on, I wanted be assured no more money would be coming out of my account. This membership was done and over and I had already paid them an extra month to get out of it. The gentleman at the desk assured me no more money would be taken out and that my membership was cancelled. I was told that there was no paperwork to fill out and that it was all taken care of. My membership had been labeled as cancelled and they would not be taking anymore money from my account. 5 days after this visit, on February 17, 2015, my bank account was charged again. I sent an email to the address on the website and have not received any response. I also called the gym to find out who I should contact to get this resolved. I was referred to [redacted] at the Dunn, NC location and was told that he was the district manager and should be able to help me. I explained the situation to him and he told me to give him my contact information and he would call the gym where my membership was. A few minutes later he called me back and told me that the charge was a facility maintenance fee. I explained to him that the gentleman at the gym explicitly assured me that NO more funds would be taken from my account. He said he would try to take care of it by the end of the week.Desired SettlementIdeally, I would like the February membership dues prorated for the one week overlap of my 30 day notice. I would like this so called facility maintenance fee that I was told I would not be charged to be refunded. I would also like my incurred bank fees of $25 to be covered for dealing with fraudulent charges. Which was the two chargesin february . After we spoke he was more understanding and agree to come in and fill out a cancellation form on Saturday 02/20/2015. Consumer Response Fit 4 Life has been dealing with [redacted] throughout this whole matter, NOT [redacted]. No one said anything to me about further action regarding cancellation on January 13, 2015 when I called initially to cancel. February 12, 2015 I went in person and offered to fill out paperwork if that was what was necessary to get this resolved. I, [redacted], was told that was not necessary and that the membership had been cancelled. This situation has not occurred from not being available to fill out paperwork. In addition, why am I required to pay a facility improvement fee to a gym I am no longer a member of? I cancelled on January 13, 2015. 30 days later would be February 12, 2015. Regardless of the prorated or full charge for the membership in the month of February, the membership was to END on February 12, 2015 30 DAYS after my cancellation request. I should not be responsible for charges incurred from Fit 4 Life AFTER February 12, 2015. The "facility improvement" fee was charged on February 17, 2015 AFTER my membership ended and therefore FRAUDULENTLY withdrawn from my account.Final Business Response I called Mrs. [redacted] and left a message and thats when her husband contacted me. After speaking with her husband yesterday Mrs. [redacted] contacted me early this morning. We spoke on the phone, I tried to explain Fit4lifes Cancelation policy. I then asked her if she had a copy of her agreement, which she did not. I invited her down to go over her agreement and discuss the facility maintenence fee, and also sign her cancelation form. I tryed to explain terms of the agreement but due to Mrs. [redacted] being loud and very rude I could not communicate with her. She refuses to acknowledge the agreement and Fit4lifes policies.

Business did not cancel contract as they said they would and continued to bill for services not provided. I called Fit4Life in August to cancel my membership due to out of state travel. I contacted Fit4Life via telephone and the gentleman stated that I needed to come in and sign the cancellation form, I advised him that I was traveling out of state and country for the United States Government and would not be able to come into the specific location. He said that was not a problem and would cancel the membership. He also said that 30 days notice is required to cancel the membership so the 29.99 charges would continue until September. In October I noticed charges on our credit card bill and contacted Fit4Life also speaking with a gentleman and advised him of the issue. He said it was an error and the amount would be refunded but would take 1 to 2 weeks as corporate has to issue refunds and he could not.Now November comes and no refund and I was charged again..... I contacted Fit4Life and I received an apology and was again told that the charges must have been made in error and a refund would be issued. I also contacted my credit card company at that time and advised them of the problem. They asked if I wanted to dispute the charges and I declined as I was under the impression a refund was being issued. We blocked the merchant from charging to the account at that time.December rolls around and I get a letter in the mail for 49.99 from [redacted] Inc. broken down to 29.99 for charges and 20.00 for Club Service Fee. I contacted Fit4Life again and spoke with [redacted]. She stated that she was the manager and that this was the first she had heard of it.... She told me that there was nothing she could do to help and I must come into the location to close any membership (I am out of state).I again received a bill in January for 49.99 from [redacted] Inc. for the same charges. I do not owe Fit4Life nor [redacted] Inc. for any services and request they return 59.98 (29.99 for October and 29.99 for November).Desired SettlementI request a refund of 59.98This is for two billing cycles that should not have occurred. I also wish to terminate any further or future business/contact with Fit4LifeBusiness Response I am emailing you in regards to a complaint from [redacted]. My Husband and I signed up for a month to month membership back in Semptember 2014. On 11/15/14 I called to cancel our membership because we no longer feel comfortable going there. I spoke with who I think is the manager and he told me we could work something out and to come in. That evening I went in to speak with him only to be told I could not cancel my membership that I had signed a 1 Year contract. I argued that we had only signed a month to month we would have never agreed to a 1 year contract he just told me we did and there was nothing I could do to get out of it except for pay until next September. At this point I will not be visiting this gym it is open 24/7 which is why we signed up because we can only go late at night. Everytime we have gone in the past it is very uncomforable and scary. There are always people hanging out right around the door of the gym or my car or in the parking lot yelling things at you when you walk by. At this point I just want out of a membership I never agreed to anyway.Product_Or_Service: Gym membership Month to Month Desired SettlementI want the charges to stop monthly.
