Ms [redacted] , We understand the inconvenience of your awning coming off of your homePlease keep in mind that the installation of this awning was over months ago and the night that it blew off your home there was mph Gail force winds throughout the Rochester areaMany homes had all kinds of damages from blown off siding, uprooted trees, and ripped off shinglesWhen you contacted us we offered to come back out and rehang the awning, however I stated there would be a service fee for the laborI did not hear back from you on moving forward with scheduling, so we were under in impression you did not want our servicesWe would be happy to come back out and rehang the awning, however there will be a service change since the awning blew off your home during a wind stormPlease let us know if you would like to proceedThank you

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below Fitch, not only not standing behind their work, now they are exaggerating factsThe awnings they refer to were on the house when we purchased it in 1980, and for that plus years endured the Rochester elements, which includes high windsWhich they exaggerated as wellIt isn't bad enough it took them months to install the awnings, at that time I was understanding of whatever reasons they gave for the months of delays, even when the awnings were not only installed incorrectly, in addition they hacked off the wrong oneBottom line is they were not making any money off the job, therefor It was not a priorityThe awnings had to be put together on the job site (cheap material) and on a second story window that the installers did not have the proper equipment to safety and securely do an installationFitch should have never taken a job they were not capable of doing and I am appalled at the way my job was treated Regards, [redacted]

In short, we contracted with a project date of 7/through 7/The project commenced 10/and was completed 10/21; months overdue It has been a difficult process with Fitch- timelines not honored, extremely poor or nonexistent communication, complete lack of accountabilityThough the final product was acceptable, it would be a disservice to recommend this company to anyone unless they are willing to endure such frustrations

I checked with our accounting department and all of [redacted] credit card money was returned to her (them) credit card company as [redacted] must know as she had the credit card charges reversed several times At the time of signing the Agreement with our [redacted] Sales-Technician - *** did not require the installation to be started on a particular day or start/finish the work by a specific dateFurthermore she signed the Agreement that a specific date wasn’t even importantThe product we had to purchase for her home comes from out of State and we have to wait until they arrive at our ShopWhen we arrived to install the sun tunnels she had changed her mind and didn’t want them Installed We now have $1,in materials, purchased for ***’s houseWe can’t return them for a refund and we have already paid for them with our own moneyDavid CPresident

Revdex.com spoke to David at business and the following was relayed: We did a kitchen remodel and sunroom addition for the customerWe did contact [redacted] about the cabinetry, they said no to replacing their cabinet with a new oneIf customer wants a new cabinet they will have to take that up with [redacted] as they are the manufacturerWe are installing a replacement skin for the customer in the hopes that this will remedy and resolve the situationWe will be calling Mr [redacted] to inform

I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me This is in reply to your letter of April 23, in which you reported on your contact with Fitch construction about the complaint I lodgedThey indeed have contacted me, returned the deposit and indicated that they will do the work for the originally quoted priceThey have the materials in hand, according to [redacted] who called me on April 24, and have made arrangements with me to commence the work on April I will pay them in full when they have completed the workI appreciate your efforts on my behalf and it appears that Fitch Construction is going to satisfy the contractual agreementI will inform you when all work is done satisfactorily Regards, [redacted] Consumer sent update: This is in reference to complaint [redacted] concerning Fitch Construction, IncFitch completed the job on April and met the stipulations of their contract with meIn fact I have to give them considerable credit in the way in which they handled the job [redacted] was on site early and talked to me about what I specifically wantedHe returned later to make sure that the work was satisfactoryThe workmen were pleasant and performed their tasks wellThe finished job, a stainless steel cable railing, is everything that I envisionedEven though we had some problems at first I would recommend Fitch if askedI would also be willing to allow Fitch customers to view the completed job as a referenceI have paid the balance due on the contract as of todayThank you for your help in this matterYours, truly, [redacted]

I came across this company at the home show and scheduled an appointment with them to come out to my house and give me a quote for building a new front porch. No one ever showed or called. 45 minutes after they were supposed to show, I called to find out what happened. They apologized and rescheduled. They again never showed or called. I then came here to the BBB site to check their history and found this is the way they operate. I guess I'm glad they didn't show, and glad I referenced this site to find their poor business practices and NOT get involved with them

We hope this letter finds you wellWe wanted to reach out to the Revdex.com regarding the recently posted complaint about Fitch Construction, IncFor the entire duration of this bathroom remodel our primary concern has always been the happiness and satisfaction of our customer This was the second project that the [redacted] Family had hired Fitch Construction, Incto completeThey were so delighted with the sunroom we constructed they asked us to come back and complete a full bathroom remodelWe have provided a detailed timeline of the events that have taken place throughout this bathroom remodel projectIn reviewing this timeline it can be seen that Fitch Construction has been extremely attentive to the customer’s questions, change orders, and satisfactionThe completed signed contract and deposit was taken on 10/19/for a full bathroom remodelThe project did not begin until 6/13/due to customer selection and design changesThe bathroom and shower was completed on 7/15/with the shower door being installed and the last of a small few punch list items to wrap up The average full bathroom remodel takes between 3-weeks depending on the bathroom sizeAt this point the customer was unhappy with the shower head height above the shower door along with the way the tile sat on the shower walls and around the shower windowFitch Construction wanted to make sure our customer was absolutely satisfied, leading us to the re-demo of the shower on 10/14/Please keep in mind that the customer had a fully functioning shower in which they used between July and October of To accommodate our customer during the re-demo and replacement shower tiles coming in, Fitch Construction placed plastic over the shower walls allowing them to still have use of their shower The customers refused to use this temporary shower in fear that water would leak and cause damage Shortly after the re-demo began a claim was issued for the 12”x 24” shower tiles for possible “convexing”, through ***, our supplier, and [redacted] ***, the manufacturer Due to the claim investigation process this caused a delay in the project Additional tile was ordered during the claim with the hope it was not defective as wellSubsequently, it was proven the tile fell within the allowed tolerances of the product, but was not to the satisfaction of the customer We were able to find a smaller 10” x 14” shower tile in replacement A temporary shower liner was re-offered again on 1/4/The customer did not respond in agreement until 1/9/later afternoon, in which the temporary liner was installed the morning of 1/10/ The new 10” x 14” tile is due to arrive to the Fitch shop on 1/19/ We will be returning to the [redacted] residence on 1/23/to install the new tile in the shower After that we will install the shower door, and complete the remainder of the punch list items Sincerely, Fitch Construction, Inc
