Cancelled membership in Oct 2015 but continue to be billed monthly. I contacted Fitness 19 multiple times but can't get them to stop.They continue to bill my credit card after cancelling my membership. I have contacted them multiple times. Need help to get them to stop the automatic billing. It's been 6 months since I cancelled my membership at the gym.Desired SettlementCancel the automatic billing to my credit card.Business Response I really apologize for this. Even after proper 30 days notice and written letter to cancel my membership, I am still getting mails and threats to send account to collectionsHi,To start with, they charge account on 15th of every month. And cancellation policy requires 30 days of notice.Ok, so, I went to the club with written notice on Aug,15,2014 to cancel my account and not to charge my card from next month. I was told, 30 day notice has to given on or before 14th and so I will be charged for the month of September and nothing can be done about it as I was 1 day too late for providing notice. So, technically, I was late so I did not say anything and agreed to pay for one more month.I reminded them again on 13th of September about my notice, paid monthly fee on Sep 15th, and I thought I was done with Fitness 19. But I was so wrong for thinking that.Next month, the card which I gave them for automatic payment got lost and I had to cancel it.In January,2015, they sent me a letter saying that I have not made my payments and thus my account will be sent to collections on Jan,16,2015. I went to club on Jan,14 and talked to manager over there ([redacted]).[redacted]: Have you cancelled your membership?Me: Yes[redacted]: How did you cancel it?Me: I gave a hand written notice 30+ days in advance.[redacted]: I did not get any noticeMe: I started my membership through your employee named [redacted], and gave my cancellation notice to that same employee.[redacted]: [redacted] is not here, I will let you know later, there is nothing I can do right now.I called the club again after couple days, left message for [redacted] or [redacted] to call me back. No response.In Feb, I got email saying that my payment failed and got a mail, saying that my account will be sent to collections on Feb,16th.This is second threat for sending my account to collections.I dont know what else do they want from me and how can I stop them from harassing me.Desired SettlementFirst of all, I want them to close my account as it is still not closed.I should not be asked for any more settlement amount while closing my account. I do not owe them anything as membership was cancelled as per their policy with written notice 30+ days in advance.And my account should not be sent to collections.I called them again today.I think they received complaint through Revdex.com and wanted to close the case, so this time the girl was understanding.I called and she told me that the employee who cancelled my account did not put any cancellation date on the account. I gave her the date like every time, this time she agreed that it was mistake from their side.She closed my account with no pending balance and sent me an email confirmation.Thanks Revdex.com

I cancelled my membership to fitness 19 months ago but they still draft money from my account every month I have sent in a letter and called but they continued to get money from my accountDesired SettlementNone just for them to stop drafting money from my accountBusiness Response Member joined on 7/24/2014 and has been a regular month-to-month member since this date. He has had one defaulted month of payment for an Annual Fee however payment was collected within 5 days of billing.Fitness 19 has not received a cancellation notice via mail or in the club with a cancellation form. Rather, the member put his membership on "freeze" from 11/10/2014 to 5/10/2015. Effective 5/10/2015, the membership began billing at the regular membership rate at which the member was paying previous to the freeze. The member has since contacted us saying that he "thought he cancelled with a letter" however the only notes in the system indicate a freeze. The member has not yet completed the cancellation form to terminate his membership - the agreement states a "30 day notice" must be given in writing. Until the member follows this policy, the membership will continue to bill on a monthly basis. We are glad to assist in the termination as long as the member follows the policy.

They have charged my debit account for a membership that I cancelled.I cancelled my account in June 2014 and they have charged my debit account for July membership along with a yearly fee. I went to fitness 19 to try and get the money reimbursed to me, they said that my account was still active although in June I filled out the paperwork to close my account. They said that they will not reimburse the membership fee, or the yearly one time payment. I filled out paperwork for a second time to close my account. Desired SettlementI would like to be refunded the 22.95 for the month of July and the yearly membership fee of 29 dollars. Also they said that because I am closing my account now that I have to give 30 days notice and pay last month fee. I already closed my account in JUNE. I do not want to be charged in August.
