Review: Brought car to repair shop to replace front left tire. The manager, Mickey M[redacted] recommended a wheel alignment. I reluctantly consented to the wheel alignment repair. When I went to pick up the car I was told that the rack and pinion was broken and that the car was not drivable. The car drove fine when I brought it there. I attempted to drive the car off of the lot to bring it to another mechanic, but the car was indeed not drivable.If my car was not drivable due to the rack and pinion being broken, then the rack and pinion clearly was not broken when I drove it there for a tire replacement. Clearly, the rack and pinion was broken by the mechanics at Mavis.I was then told, initially, that it would cost a little over $300 to have the rack and pinion repaired. I consented to the repairs. When I returned to retrieve my car, I was then told that the repairs would cost over $600. My final bill was $678.86.Desired Settlement: I went into Mavis of [redacted] expecting to pay maybe $100 for a new tire. The experience ended up costing me $770.42.I would like to be reimbursed for the $670.42 that I was wrongfully charged.
