Five Star Garage Doors Reviews (10)

Revdex.com: I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted] , and have determined that this does not resolve my complaint For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.I have never changed my story, and what they are quoting me saying below is a complete fabrication!!!! This company is the most crooked company I have ever dealt with!! First off, there are plenty of tutorials on how to export voicemails from your phone to your computer with a simple google search (or if they are on an answering machine, you can simply record them on your phone - then export to your computer) - again I ask the company to provide these voicemails Concerning the Yelp reviews, Yelp is able to discern if a review was made by the same person (but using a different account) - which is why my wife's review was deleted And also why all the positive reviews the company fraudulently made for themself were also removed Yes I was incredibly upset after the tech damaged my garage door system and then blamed it on me and then made a fraudulent report to the insurance company I sent many angry and degrading text messages to the tech I was livid!! And I indeed have left reviews everywhere I could (when a company does something like this to you, reviewing them online is the natural response) I will continue to leave reviews on any outlet I am able, or until what they have done to me has been rectified This company is anything but honest or reliable I have worked with dozens of contractors in the ohio area in the past years Not once have I ever had to file a complaint with the Revdex.com, or make a single negative review anywhere online This company is the most unprofessional and dishonest company I have ever worked with in my life Regards, [redacted]

Consumer response taken over the phone by Revdex.com staff (**) [redacted] indicated she had no idea the business has done all the work the alleged in their responseShe feels they failed to correspond with her as to what work was performedShe has since purchased a new door and doesn't expect to be refunded by the businessOk to close the complaint

1/8/1:pm Telephone response obtained from the company as follows: The company stated the warranty came with the purchase of the condo, they company does not approve or deny claims, the company chosen by the HSA doesThe company stated they did send the diagnosis information to the HSA, they cannot submit a failure code without a diagnosisThe company stated the warranty covers the track operator not the garage doorThe company states the issue found was with the garage door so the work needed was a non-covered repair The company stated they attempted to show the consumer what the problem was but the consumer refused to go to the detached garage with the technician for saftey concernsThe company stated they quoted the consumer $to make the repair and the consumer refused the repairThe company stated they did provide an invoice to the consumer with information on what was wrong with the doorThe company stated they did not collect any money from the consumer, the invoice was prepaid, the HSA would have paid the invoice

( )Repfrom HSA informed me that the repair detailed in my contract was covered(2) I was told the repair would cost $ and when I said I could not afford $the response was "WELL WHAT CAN YOU AFFORD" (3) THIS COMPANY HAS CHANGED THE NAME SEVERAL TIMESAs a senior this sounded like a scam to me

To start off in response to this complaint, the work done to Ms*** is garage door was done out of courtesyThe track assembly located on the bottom of the door near the bottom wheels on both sides has completely rotted awayWe noticed on the initial visit that the spring was the incorrect
sizeWe explained to Ms.*** on multiple occasions before any work was done that we can get the door to operate temporarily, however that the fix isn't going to be long term until the track assembly is replacedOur technician spent hours correcting the issues with the door so that Ms*** can get her car in safely for the dayWe replaced the torsion spring to the correct size and also changed out the cables to make sure they don't jump the rollersNo matter how much was done to the door, this didn't eliminate that fact that the track assembly itself needed to be replacedThe door needing to be replaced was never mentionedIt was only the "TRACK ASSEMBLY." Also, we don't have a John in our officeWe never haveOur sales reps/scheduling department is handled by Mike (male) and Salem (female)We apologize that Ms*** isn't happy with the turn out of the situation to the garage doorOur company can only do so much to helpWe only recommend doing things in the out most correct wayTelling Ms*** that the fix is only temporary until the track assembly was completely replaced, temporary, must have not been comprehendedAfter the technician left the home the unit with the door were 100% fully functional. Business response taken over the phone by Revdex.com staff 8/5/15. The tech did go out thereThe reason he couldn't lift the door was because it was too heavy The door was heavy because the spring was already broken The reason that the door couldn't go up manually and the garage door
opener could not open it was because the spring were already brokenThey were sent through his insurance, he did not pay his deductible, and that was also reported to his home warranty which will void his home warrantyThe consumer claims that he had a garage door opener to replace it, and that the only way the representative would replace an opener would be with one from their stock, but that is not trueThe reason they didn't return his phone calls was because the consumer was leaving threatening voice mail messagesIf the consumer wants it repaired, they are willing to do that for him, but it would be at the consumer's expense

the HSA, they cannot submit a failure code without a diagnosis. The company stated the warranty covers the track operator not the garage door. The company states the issue found was with the garage door so the work needed was a non-covered repair.  The company stated they attempted to show the consumer what the problem was but the consumer refused to go to the detached garage with the technician for saftey concerns. The company stated they quoted the consumer $200.00 to make the repair and the consumer refused the repair. The company stated they did provide an invoice to the consumer with information on what was wrong with the door. The company stated they did not collect any money from the consumer, the invoice was prepaid, the HSA would have paid the invoice.

Business sent the following response.  See attached documentation as well. This is in response to complaint [redacted].[redacted] is changing his story, once again when the tech went out he couldn't get door to open, the only reason door was very heavy is because the springs were broken [redacted] continued to use garage door opener. That was the problem found at [redacted]s house. Tech called in diagnosis, after his call to the home warranty he informed [redacted] that the repairs will not be covered. [redacted] was incredibly upset. The deductible was not paid to the technician, the reason tech did not collect is because in [redacted]s own words " Get Out Of My house Before I Call The Police. Tech left and we reported this information to his Home Warranty. After that we continued to receive threatening Vmails, and Angry text messages, which we have proof of. Reviews left by [redacted] on [redacted] which included all of his information including his address, he left a review along with his wife on yelp (two different reviews) and a Google review left by his wife, and others. Yelp has left the bad reviews for people to see, every good review is filtered and not recommended, I dont know about the legitimacy of Yelp as many business owners have had this problem. Home Warranties do not hire unreliable companies. We will attach the messages left for the tech, unfortunately there isnt a way to send voice mails in this email, however the voice mails to the techs cell phone and business phone are saved as well. If he went with our services it would not have costed as much as he was charged by a different company. what this company is being accused of did not happen, We will continue to be an honest and reliable company with many satisfied customers. In this case [redacted] had the opportunity to get the repairs completed when tech was there, [redacted] refused. We will not be paying [redacted] as the damage was already done when tech arrived after we were dispatched to his home.
