Feb2016...This is my second experience working with Roman [redacted] and Five Star Pool, and I couldn't saying enough "good" about him and all the guys that work for him! My first experience a few years ago was to have my in-ground pool resurfacedHe was very helpful with suggestions and the finished product was and still is beautiful! Since he had done such a wonderful job for us in the past when we decided to do an extensive renovation of the decking around the pool area and remodel the backyard and install pavers and add a large screened room onto the house I had him bid on the jobOf the estimates I received he was VERY FAIR and far from the highest! I mainly chose him though, because of my past experience with himAny changes that I wanted to make even during the construction of everything being done, he was always glad to meet my needsEvery one of his "crew members" were honest, polite and reliableAndy, the supervisor for my job, was fantastic! As you can see, I highly recommend this company and would proudly show anyone our finished product!

Five Star Pool rebuilt our lanai, pool and spa areas starting January 5, The areas were originally built in and had settled, cracked and the appearance had become dated over the yearsFive Star Pool did an outstanding job, from demolition of old pool tiles and exposing soft, hollow spots in pool, to adding reinforcing steel rods to prevent any further settlement, to installation of travertine tiles and Pebbletec pool finish, to cement wash to seal travertine tiles from vegetation growth or erosionWorkman in each crew were hard-working and efficient in their respective areas of responsibility as well as polite and considerateProject was well-managed by Project Manager who was onsite 3-times a week to monitor progress and speak with us about any concerns we might haveWe are totally satisfied and very happy with the finished product

My neighbor and I planned to have both of our yrold pools re-surfaced at the same timeOne of the contractors we called was Five Star Pools in OldsmarThe owner, Roman H, promptly came to our sites the next day, spoke with us and assessed the scope of workWe received our proposals from Roman the following dayWe continued calling additional contractors of which some called many weeks later or not at allFive Star Pools included an extensive customer reference listThe response from those persons we called were responses of very high satisfactionWe contracted with Five Star Pools for work to proceed in November for both poolsMeanwhile, we visited the office to firm up colors and materialsA recommendation was to replace our existing watt pool lights with an efficient w LED light Our project proceeded on time as promisedThe draindown, prep work, resurfacing and startup was completed in daysAll work was performed in an extremely neat and professional mannerInstructions how to care for the pool during the cure period was given both orally and writtenAll questions were answeredI want to thank Star Pools owner, Roman and his staff Lenka, office mgr., Andrew, Jardo and Chris and crew for their courtesy and professionalism to delivering outstanding work

We have a large -1/foot deep fiberglass pool that we needed resurfaced It has some bowing to the sides which does not affect function and is only a cosmetic thing so we were not worried about fixing that Having had several companies out before we found Five Star Pool, two which we went under contract with but after making us wait months and months respectively they both pulled out saying they could not do our pool since it was too deep to get underground water to safe level and because of the bowing Ironically these companies pointed out these issues prior to offering up a contract and taking our depositSeveral companies didnt even give us a return call for weeks when we called to schedule them for an estimate I can only imagine how difficult it would have been to get a response once they had our money! We fortunately found star pool who responded promptly every time we called or emailed, explained what they would do and told us work would start in Nov during dry seasonThey were even able to reinforce the bowed walls to prevent further bowing They gave us a long list of previous customers and I called a handful, all of them gave raving reviews for this company Their price was competitive and they began work when they said they would and the job was completed within a weeks start to clean up Looks good and hopefully will continue to looks so for many, many years to come

Please be aware if you hire Five Star Pool CompanyIt was my impression that Roman Hwas very detailed oriented, reasonably priced, and all of his reviews were positive; unfortunately, I did not have a good experience with him
I decided to remarcite my pool because I was having a problem with a water leakI hired MrHin November and asked him to pay special attention to the jets; the work was started in a timely fashionWhen his men first came out to check the leak, he asked me to call him back if I continued to have water leaking after he fixed some thingsI did contact him again, but it was not fixed until later
After MrHand his men finished their work on the pool, I noticed constant water leakage - I lost as much as half of an inch to an inch of water every dayThis made me very concerned and I contacted Roman H, expecting a phone call back, but he only texted me, refusing to talk to me on the phone due to the Thanksgiving Holiday
The second issue I experienced was when I was told that the old solar system plumbing had caused the leak and MrHrequested $to pay for the removal of the systemShortly after this consultation I received a second opinion, in which I was assured that there was no need to remove the old plumbing system, the leak was coming from jets instead
Thirdly, I also requested a light bulb to be put in, which was never doneIn the meantime, I had already paid more than 90% of the resurfacing
I want to make sure that future customers will have better experience with RomanI also want to warn everybody that the leak detection process was not done properlyMrHwas not prompt in discussing details with me and did not seem to be that knowledgeable eitherHe misled me on certain things and customers considering using Five Star Pool Company should be aware that after the process is done, it will cost them an extra $to do the proper post-marcite care for the new pool, which I was not informed of prior to starting this procedure
I hope you will have a better experience, but make sure to look into every detail carefully

Any changes that I wanted to make even during the construction of everything being done, he was always glad to meet my needs. Every one of his "crew members" were honest, polite and reliable. Andy, the supervisor for my job, was fantastic! As you can see, I highly recommend this company and would proudly show anyone our finished product!

Our project proceeded on time as promised. The draindown, prep work, resurfacing and startup was completed in 3 days. All work was performed in an extremely neat and professional manner.
