received her notice on  March 21/15 and responded on March 23rd 2015. Her notice per the lease states she must give notice on the last day od the month in which the notice is given and we are not obligated to prorate rent even if the tenant surrenders the porperty  before termination. We use the TREC lease Secton 4 A1-B1.Therefore she is responsible for the rent the entire month of April (she wants us to prorate).As far as the electric goes the lease states that she is responsible for the electric to be kept on at all times the lease is in effect (the end of April) Secton 11 B. TO help her out we said she could turn them off when she vacated and we would put the electric in our name. I'm sorry she feels bullied because we intend to comply with the lease.  We have never had any complaints or problems with her until now.
