Review: Gold Star, person made [redacted] or [redacted] advised he would do a rubber roof on the house. The job cost was $3,200, half $1,600 was given. He advised he would bring the materials on Thursday and start work on Friday. The contractor never came to deliver the materials, but he did come to measure the roof on Thursday. He advised the weather was too windy and for a few days it was raining. I had to call him to get this response he never called to confirm or change a different day or time. As of today, it is two weeks, numerous calls have been made to the contractor. He advised his brother is in the hospital and that was his excuse for not calling or showing up. He promised he would do the work and never showed up. We called him few more times, the contractor stop answering his [redacted] and it goes to voicemail. He also had ###-###-####. Now, this number no longer works. I found the listed address for this number, ironically its on [redacted] but different house number [redacted] According to NY Dept of Finance, this house is owned by [redacted]. Strangely, when I was typing the information in NY Fiance, I first made a typo. I typed [redacted] and found [redacted] owns this house. The same name that is on the business card and the same name he told me. On his business card it reads [redacted] which is also an apartment building. When I found this information, I called him from a different number. He answers the phone and advised he will bring the money back on Tuesday between 8:30-9am, he never showed. When I call him from a different number (2nd) to his [redacted] he answers and tells me the same story. I also had 4 people from different locations to get an estimate from him and he made appointments with them. We are waiting to see if he will show up. Ironically, its true all four people do need work done in there homes. To get a hold of this person, I have to call from different numbers.

The cell phone shows two addresses with same name [redacted] and [redacted].Desired Settlement: We would desire to have this contractor or any person he works with or for to give us our money back. The money needs to given back the same way it was given, in cash.
