We chose Fix-A-Fence after interviews with several installers, even though they were marginally higher, because of the thoughtful solutions to our site situation and how the fence would be built using our existing, solid posts (not starting from scratch) Owner, John W [redacted] and expert assistant, Ben, were amazingly fast, accurate and thorough with the jobScrews, rather than nails were used, and the cedar looks like top grade If you want a careful, professional and pleasant contractor for a fence job, look no further

My neighbor and I share a fence gate post that need repairHe contacted this company When they came out they fixed the post and his gate but damaged mineIt hung crooked and rubbedMy neighbor called them back to repair my gate and they did a terrible job They replaced the decorative hinges (which were fine before) with what I would describe as metal cabinet hinges, unfinishedThe gate was rehung so that it didn't match the neighbor's which shares the postThe boards were put on poorly and they screwed in a small piece of wood to take up spaceWhen I contacted them myself some time later, he came out and gave me an estimate of $to fix what he had screwed up in the first placeI recalled that he said he would replace the wood and I would buy new hinges (which he said were bent which is why he replaced them in the first place without showing me or mentioning it)When I replied (via email) to the estimate that I assumed he was going to repair at no labor cost he didn't answer I then offered to pay half and he rejected that tooHis defense was that I took too long to get back to him after the initial repairThe gate was fine before the post replacementThe owner takes no responsibility for his job

He and his co-worker were efficient, professional and customer service was on pointAlways kept me in the loop, which I commendHe was even able to save me money on a few suggestions - I appreciated thatI will recommend his company to anyone interested
