Fabulous and superior company. There employees have heart and care about doing a professional job.

Insulation in your attic is not something you always think about however I have learned this is very critical to keeping your house temperature cold or hot without running up your electric bill.

This company was very professional, very courteous the installers were on time they cleaned up their mess immaculately you would have never known they were there.

They require very minimal contact to virtually none at all which is important in this day of age due to the corona virus.

I would 100% definitely recommend this company to anybody thinking about attic insulation.

Overcharged my Credit Card and never refunded the difference
After the insulation was installed on 9-1-17, My credit card was overcharged $20.00 and I was not given an Attic Card showing the R-Value of the insulation installed.

Hi Dominic,
I keep leaving you and your office messages but no one returns my calls. I have 2 very simple problems that we need to work out. First my credit card was over charged by your company 20 dollars. Second I did not receive an attic card upon completion. Please get back to me so this can be resolved.

Got call back, Dominic says he is going to resolve issues

9-30-17 still have not received anything. Sent anther text to Dominic and he replied saying he will send something out 10-2-17

10-9-17. Still have not received anything. Sent Dominic another text.
Got a call back from Dominic. He apologized and said he will handle this him self today.

10-18-17 still nothing in the mail. Sent Dominic a text to let him know. He did not respond.

10-20-17 Sent another text to Dominic asking what he plans to do.

Dominic replied with
I will drive it out. Your in Kissimmee and I will be there all day Monday and Tuesday. I will leave in mailbox if that works for you. I'm sorry for the delay. I blew it.

11-2-17 Still nothing from Dominic so I sent him the following
Hi Dominic. It has been almost 2 weeks and I still have nothing from you. These are 2 very simple problems that would be easy to correct. I had plans to make other purchases with you but this is not making it easy.

Dominic replied

Hello ***. I will bring the $20 check and attic card Sunday morning. I will have no distraction. It will be around 11am. If your not there I can put in mailbox. ~***

Monday 11-6-17

Still nothing from Dominic. Sent him another text
I was home all day yesterday. Never saw you. Can you please just put an Attic card in the mail?

He replied
Yes. I will have emailed too.

11-9-17
Sent Dominic another text
When is this mail going to show up? Starting to feel like you don't care.

He replied with a picture of the attic card.

I feel I have tried my best to resolve this issue. I feel that this company does not seem to care about it's customers, once they have been paid.

Desired Outcome

I would like to be refunded the money that was overcharged to my credit card and to be given the original Attic card I was promised. An apology would also be nice.

The business owner has finally sent me a refund and apologized. I would now consider this matter resolved

Company supposed to do insulation and duct. Has only done insulation.
The owner Dominic came to inspect the attic insulation on 08/09/17. He gave a great presentation and said he would do the insulation and replace the duct. Contract was signed that evening. Insulation and Duct scheduled to be installed 08/16/17.

The insulation was installed on 08/16/17 but the duct was not. The people who installed the insulation said that Dominic wanted to personally install the duct. Dominic also came to the house that evening and said he would because the others weren't fully trained to do so. We paid $2,184 of the balance with a credit card and was told since the ductwork was not done, pay the remainder when it was completed. At the end of the night we were told to expect a call to setup the duct installation.

That call never happened. We had to keep calling the office to get a response. When we finally did speak to Dominic he tells us he will call in a few days to schedule something and nothing happens. This process has gone on up until 09/28/17. It got to the point where Dominic is blaming his employees for why the Duct has not been installed. That is not how you should run a business when you the owner said you would install the Duct.

Well 09/28/17 the duct installation was setup for 09/30/17. The people who came to install the insulation showed up. When they realized what the job was, they were clueless on why they were sent back here because Dominic said he would install it. So Dominic sent employees to install Duct that they aren't trained to install. He wasted their time.

When speaking to Dominic later on in the day he informed us that he cannot install the Duct and that is not what his company does. If this is not what Fix My Attic does, then how come Dominic said the day he inspected the attic that he could do it and put into the contract that it would be done? Extremely unprofessional. He offered no solutions to fix this problem after more than a month of the run around.

After explaining to Dominic issues we had with the previous company that installed our AC unit, Dominic assured us that his company isn't like other companies in the area and will get the job done and he's an honest man. Well, turns out that he isn't what he said he was.

10/02/17 Dominic just pops up at my house unannounced and starts making more excuses about why he cannot do the ductwork and said he will send a friend to inspect the duct. He said if it costs a couple hundred more dollars he will cover the cost. We have had 3 companies including the company that Dominic sent to us to inspect the duct. All three companies said that the job of the insulation was not done the best that it could have been done. They also said that the ductwork should have been done first before the insulation. The ductwork that Dominic said he would replace and quoted $300, all three companies are quoting around $5000. He has not fulfilled his contract.

Desired Outcome

Dominic and his company Fix My Attic needs to replace the duct in the attic per his contract and amount that he quoted. He also needs to finish the insulation how it should be completed. I should not have to contact other companies to get estimates and them tell me that the ductwork is going to cost that much and that the insulation was done inefficiently.

On 8-09-2017 Dominic S met with*** at her home at***. Ms *** had contacted us through*** and asked us to come to her home and
give her a price on adding insulation in her attic.
Ms *** was told that we could add 9 inches of Applegate insulation to her entire house which
measures 1908 square feet.
Dominic S proceeded to educate Ms *** about the insulation that we use. He showed her a
brochure with all the specifics of the product that we install that is made by Applegate insulation. She was
then shown the actual product that is used by us in a presentation called the "bird House". In this
presentation a heat lamp is applied to the insulation showing the insulating properties of the product.
Ms *** was then given a price of $ 2184.00 for the insulation job including labor and material. She
was also given a price of $150.00 to insulate a skylight and $300.00 to install a heat duct.
On the day of the install we blew in the insulation and insulated the skylight. Ms *** was told that
this crew doesn't do duct work and that the crew leader would come and install the heat duct.
We supplied an attic card showing the amount of insulation installed by the depth, the R value, and the
amount of bags of insulation used in her install. Ms *** was satisfied and provided her credit card
number for the payment of the service.
Ms. contacted our office and said she was happy with the insulation but that we still hadn't
installed the heat duct. Our installation manager Ricky S went and looked at the job and stated that
it was way too difficult for him to do the install. We had a professional company go to her house and look
at the duct job. They said the entire system needed to be replaced for a price around $5000.00. Ms
*** and her son has demanded that we replace her ductwork without charge. We have agreed to
refund her $ 300.00 charge for the work we couldn't complete. But that all other work was done very well.
Summary:
1. Ms. contacted us to come to his house to increase her insulation.
2. We inspected the attic, educated her on our product and showed her the actual product.
3. We offered a labor and material price of $2634.00 and she accepted we took no deposit.
4. We went to her house and installed exactly what was purchased from us. Minus the duct ($300)
5. We cleaned up the job site.
6. Ms. paid.
7. We gave Ms. the documentation showing exactly what was installed in her attic.
8. Ms *** informed us that the duct wasn't installed. We sent a manager to inspect.
9. We advised Ms *** that we would refund the $300.00 that she was charged for the duct.
10. Ms. went to her credit card company and fraudulently stated we didn't install her
insulation. All of the insulating was completed and she deserves a $300.00 refund for this line
item on the contract.
