Review: Last year, I purchased 6 Evergreen trees from Flagg's Garden Center and spent around $600 (Each tree was $71 or $78 with mulch and delivery). When I purchased these trees, the sales associate told us to water them 2x a day. He also did not give us an option of the store planting them for us for a fee.

Within 6-8 months, the trees began to die. I called Flagg's and they told me to bring in a sample and I did. Then they said they would have to come out to my home and evaluate the trees. They never came and I called over 3 times.

Now in April, 4 out of 6 of the trees are dead. I left another message with them demanding assistance and finally did get a returned call. They said my original message was place on the wrong binder and the manager never saw it until now. They came out to my home and agree that they died and those 4 cannot be brought back. I expressed my disappointment in the fact that I had called back in November before they were completely dead. The man also said that we were only supposed to water them once every 4 days. I explained that their salesman told us 2x a day. Lastly, I told the man that no one gave us the option of having the store plant them. Flagg's said they could sell me more trees for $50 per tree plus $136 to plant them. I asked if these would be guaranteed or covered if they died as well and they said no because they would be giving them to me at a discounted rate.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund for the 4 trees that have died. ($280)

The evergreens purchased in August 2013 were on sale at a discount of 20% 01'1" the regular price of $89.99. As stated by no less than three dozen signs in our store, all sale items are not covered by our 1year warranty. However, I extended our warranty to the customer even though her shrubs were not covered. I offered to look at the plants to evaluate the problem, as I do with all my customers who have plant issues. I regret that the paperwork for this request was misplaced, and I did not get to see them. However, it would not have changed the Outcome of the offer made to purchase the replacement plants at 50% off. I feel this was a fair compromise, because as I stated before, these evergreens were clearly not covered under Our warranty.

As for the watering Instructions, my sales staff is responsible for daily watering and maintenance on all trees and shrubs in the yard. With all due respect, I find it difficult to believe any of my sales staff would recommend watering any plant twice a day and would know that this would be an excessive amount of water.

I am certain these plants were healthy and viable when purchased, and 50% off new plants is a very reasonable offer.
