"One of the Largest Carwashes in America"February 16, 2017Revdex.com K StNW, 10" floor Washington, DC 20005-ID # [redacted] Dear [redacted] ,I have received your letter dated February 7, There are no changes in our responseI find the customers statements to be inaccurate and outright falseThe accusation that I racially profiled her is unfounded and without evidenceI have also never received pictures, from she or you, or a written estimate of the claimed damage.Our automated equipment is in impeccable conditionWe do regular maintenance and regular checks with our own vehiclesThe attendant was doing routine maintenance when he was approachedThe bay that this customer was using has an electronic eye that measures the car before a wash cycle beginsAfter completing the measurements, the wash cycle commencesIf during the cycle there is any problem, say for instance the customer were to move the car, and the Wand were to hit the car, the whole system would go into a protection modeThe wand would return to the home position and the whole system would shut downOnce the system shuts down it must be manually reset and the started againThe entire system is disabled until the reset happensThis means that the bay becomes inoperable.When the customer approached our attendant and explained what had happened, he walked over to the bay and found that another customer Was already in the bayThe other car was being Washed, no reset was necessaryThe bay was operating just fineAfter hearing what the customer had to say, the attendant examined the front bumperHe could tell that the bumper was hit from the front causing the license plate, including the frame, to push into the bumper causing the damage the customer is referring toIf the Wand had hit the customers car, it would have come across the front of the car, not straight on.I hope the explanation helpsWe at Flagship have always strived to show a higher level of customer service, after all We are in the customer service businessWe will still work with our customer despite being falsely accused of racial profiling or mocking herI will personally meet this customer at our Gaithersburg location, remount her license plate and wash her car at no chargeI hope our offer is agreeable to all and look forward to hearing from you.Very Truly,Richard M [redacted] District Manager Flagship Cawash Center [redacted]

she was very upset, yelling and screaming over the phoneI tried to listen as best as I could but it didn't seem clear what had happened to make her so upsetShe mentioned that there was an attendant there and I told her that I would call the attendant to find out what was going on.I called the attendant Winston, who told me that *** *** had come to the bay he was working in and said that her car did not get wash properlyShe also told him that her tag come off in the WashWinston looked at *** ***'s car and noticed that it looked like she ran into somethingHe said there was damage to the front of the license plate frame and bumper, like she pulled into somethingHe also explained that the damage on her car was not from our machine rather it looked like she bumped somethingbut that he could refund her the dollar that she overpaid (our terminal will not distribute money so cannot give change, exact change is requested).*** *** became upset with him, demanded insurance informationthe owner's name and his phone numberWinston gave her my number and she called me promptly.*** *** claims that the applicator, blue in color hit her car and did damageThe applicator that *** *** is referring to is wrapped in foamIt would be impossible to do the damage that she is claimingWhen Wilson looked at her car, he said that it looked like she had bumped onto something causing slight damage to her bumper and license plateHe also checked out the equipment and it was working fineHe still offered to give her money back but she refused.Within a few minutes, I got into my car and was driving to the locationI called *** *** to let her know that I was on my way and that I would arrive in less than minutesShe again yelled at me and said that I was discriminating against her because she was black and handicappedShe then told me that if I ever called her again that she would press harassment charges against me and then hung up on meWhen I arrived just a few minutes later, *** *** had already left the locationI took pictures of the equipment which I am forwarding to youI would love to reach a resolution that both *** *** and Flagship will be happy with but we cannot pay for a preexisting conditionPlease feel free to call if you would like to discuss or have questionsI await your reply.Very Truly,Richard M*** District Manager Flagship Cawash Center ***

I am rejecting this response because:From: *** ***Date: Tue, Mar 7, at 12:PMSubject: Re: cid *** / Flagship Car Wash CenterMaryland Attorney General OfficeConsumer Protection Rights DivisionRevdex.com- Wash., D.CDistrictFederal Trade Commission*** ** *** *** *** *** **Gaithersburg, MD 208783/6/2017RE: *** *** vs Flagship Car WashDear:Revdex.com complaint #ID ***Maryland Attorney General complaint #ID ***Federal Trade Commission complaint ID# *** Agencies, thanks for giving me time to respond due to my chronic illness that caused me to seek emergency medical attention and hospitalized that caused me to be incapable to respond in a timely mannerIn moving forward with this complaint as you review the subject I complained to different agencies on 8/13/That day I went to the Flagship for a car wash and the tenant was on the ladder repairing it and I waited for him to complete his workFirst and foremost, I am disabled and my race is African American anyone can determine that visuallyI came in to the same car wash as usual saw the green light until it turn red for me to stopThe blue long part on the car wash machine with holes I assume got caught on my license plate and pulled the license plate disfigured itAll of the sudden the car wash stopped and never cleaned my carAs you review my pictures, my car never completed the wash but have a lot of soap and water visual on the carIn addition, as you review my pictures there is no dents in the area of concern but scratches just like I informed him beforeI have a neighbor who once owned a car shop and work for Montgomery County government maintenance vehicle department never seen a dent in that area on my car since before or after 8/13/2016, there was never no dent In addition, I had another resident to review the car and took the damage license plate off that would testify that my car has no dents and pictures can’t lie eitherThey only person who is inaccurate and fabricated in fear of his employment is the tenant who fabricated to his manager at the Flagship in GaithersburgThe tenant failed to take pictures so he could be more accurate in making his statements; the manager wasn’t present to continue to make such statements.Regarding to the Flagship Manager stating that he wanted to resolve this matter however chose to character assassinate me instead as if I was uncooperative and claimed that I would willfully state claims about this incident, my car and statementsIn addition, claims he provide excellent customer service, while Flagship management failed to respond to Revdex.com, Federal Trade Commission, MD Attorney General Office or their own Flagship headquarters website ( see attached two complaints) which it provides my email however he demonstrate poor customer service by choosing to wait after months to respondThe Flagship management decided to respond to my complaint to agencies making statements only to character assassinate me to cover their own neglect now I can say that he is negatively stereotyping meIf he chose to provide me the proper customer service, he would refrain from laughing, yelling and disrespecting me on my phone while I was trying to explain the incident on 8/13/He never told me that he was coming to the site on 8/13/In addition, if I was acting so irate why would I call the police while on site to report this incident on 8/13/2016? Why would he want to come around an irate black woman as he stated in his letters to Revdex.com and State of Maryland? His explanation sounds questionable, false, and hypercritical and most of all fabricated just to deny liabilityI contacted management right after the incident by my cell phone which the tenant at the location refused to provide me the facility phone to call the manager nor the manager failed to provide me the insurance information. What I found troublesome that there was also no information on the facility car wash posters or bill-boards how to contact management in case there is an incidentIn addition, the tenant didn't see my car in close proximity but view the pics from my phone after I had taken themI acted with professionalism as a former manager and business owner requesting and offering the tenant employee to take his own pictures and provide me the incident report that I can leave contact information, however he refused to respondHe offered me a dollar for the poorly unclean car washFlagship showed no interest to resolving this matter but wanted it to go away by ignoring it.Please review the attached two reports I sent to Flagship headquarters on 8/13/of the incidentOn this document you can review that Flagship management chose not to respond to my complaint in a monthsIn addition, I added in this document to Flagship headquarters I added my race and disability since there was incident no report to identify meI never told him on the phone as he stated about my race in his response concerning to my complaint, he fabricatedMy complaint further states, that I called the police which I felt it were proper after an incident such as this because management and the tenant were unsupportive about the incidentI had to follow tenant ( who had English speaking issues) in this little room to get the number to Flagship management and then I talked Flagship management in my car. I believe I done all I can do to communicate with Flagship management even though he totally disrespected, negatively stereotyped me and laugh at me on the phoneIn addition, poked fun at me over the phone when I made him aware that I am going to call the police.As you review the pictures you will see that my car has no dents at allIt has scratches on top of the license plate rubbing against the paint after the long blue car wash instrument swung around with holes got caught on top of my license plate disfiguring itObviously, as the tenant was repairing the car wash with a ladder before I wash the car, it wasn't repaired correctlyThen you review the pictures my car didn't wash at all either which I paid $10.00, the license plate cost around $and I estimated the scratches $300.00, with no dentsThere is no pre-existing condition such as dents that is connected to this incident on 8/13/The Flagship Carwash is liable to this incident and failed to communicate effectively by different options such as text, email or by phoneIn addition, failed to have an incident report at the facility that my identification and information could be available for them, they failed to respond to the agencies after months without the threat by Attorney General Office and failed to respond by their own Flagship headquarters website therefore it proves that they didn't want to resolve this matter however desire to ignore it, failing any responsibility to this incident.Please excuse my grammar as I am not medically fully recovered. There are no changes in our response. I find the customers statements to be inaccurate and outright false. The accusation that I racially profiled her is unfounded and without evidence. I have also never received pictures, from she or you, or a written estimate of the claimed damage.Our automated equipment is in impeccable condition. If during the cycle there is any problem, say for instance the customer were to move the car, and the Wand were to hit the car, the whole system would go into a protection mode. The wand would return to the home position and the whole system would shut down. Once the system shuts down it must be manually reset and the started again. The entire system is disabled until the reset happens.
