Flagship Trailways Reviews (2)

Good afternoon,We are in receipt of the above referenced complaintThe customer ordered a passenger motor coach to transport a group from Rhode Island to *** *** *** in nearby Connecticut to celebrate a bachelor partyWe provided a passenger bus at the appointed time and location
and successfully transported the group to and from the venueWe did in fact have a mechanical issue with one of our buses and had to hire a replacement bus from another company to fulfill our obligation to the clientIn taking this action, we willingly gave up any hope of making a profit as this is a pass through to insure that the customer's needs are met, which is always a top priority for usI do not know what the customer is referring to with regards to *** as we certainly did not hire *** in this case or, in fact, everThe customer has suggested that we have engaged in some bait and switch tactic which is absolutely falseWe provide bus service to countless groups traveling the short distance to *** and have never had a complaint even remotely close to thisWe provide safe and comfortable passenger transportation on our buses and that is exactly what we did in this case. Thank you,*** ***Flagship TrailwaysSharpe DriveCranston, RI 02920401-946-

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response submitted by the business and have determined that the response does not satisfy or resolve my issues and/or concerns in reference to complaint # [redacted]. Please add your rejection comments below.
IT becomes very clear to me that even the owner's response is intimating that I received some bargain service in exchange for the price I paid and that he was losing money.  This is the very definition and motivation for the bait and switch tactic as defined by dictionary.com"of advertising goods that are an apparent bargain, with the intention of substituting inferior or more expensive goods."  What the owner has finally acknowledged is that he substituted the coach that I ordered as presented on his website for a 54 passenger coach that came with WIFI, [redacted] system, etc, that would have allowed me to stream live the UFC fight that evening for my passengers that I had paid an extra $100 separately to enjoy that privilege on the bus ride.  When a customer engages a business to provide a specific product per their product listing, they expect the product they are to receive on the evening they arrive.  Especially, if the business selling said goods have not had the decency to contact the customer to explain to them the situation and offer some alternative arrangement.  The owner no longer denies the time frame that the sub contracted bus driver confirmed had been hired for, which was over a week.  So for over a week, this business knew that the very bus I had ordered would be out of service and they were going to provide an inferior bus that lacked the technological capabilities that my bus had, would be an adequate substitute without my knowledge.  Everyone expects to receive what they order and when they don't and haven't been communicated to about these substitutions or consider the consumer's position, a customer loses faith.  My passengers were disappointed not having the amenities promised, I paid for the amenities promised and I was not given an option to accept an inferior bus and look to give my business elsewhere or accept an alternate proposal.  The lack of communication and inferiority of the product I was given compared to what I paid for is the issue.  A 30 yr old coach with 1 more seat than I ordered is not a substitute for the advertised and agreed to coach on their website. HEre are some additional reviews of them which show some additional past practice where contractual arrangements were agreed upon and not followed through and no responsibility taken on managements' part.  The rights of a customer are limited, especially in bait and switch arrangements that are below a threshold worth becoming litigous, so I look to the Revdex.com to uphold what few rights as citizens we do have to stand up and identify dishonest business practice.[redacted]
