The first day after the fireplace was installed the blower didn't turn on. The business owner was contacted who mentioned that more heat may be needed to activate the blower. A very hot fire is needed to activate the blower, so there must be a defect in the sensor maybe? A fire with a couple or three logs does not activate the blower, so no heat comes out.  Many logs are needed to activate the sensor so apparently the amount of heat needed to activate the blower is causing the damage? This is the first we heard that overheating caused the damage, the owner never told us this. We were advised by the business to make a hotter fire to make the blower work as it's controlled by the sensor.
We were not told about the fireplace shipping back until just after I sent this complaint to Revdex.com. And, we had to contact the business and an employee who inquired informed us just after the complaint was filed.
The substance waste from the install process has created an unsightly mess on our landscaped rock yard and has not been addressed even after making this complaint. It was not addressed in this complaint response as well.
The biggest problem has been the owner not keeping us informed. He rarely returns calls, and has stopped returning calls recently even when another employee has verified that the owner has been given multiple  messages to call us with an update. Much of this could of been avoided if the business has professional customer service.
It was not until I filed this complaint that we received a quick response from the owner (via this Revdex.com complaint procedure). When the communication stopped (phone messages ignored, calls not returned) is when our concerns started. The business had our  fireplace and our money and long after the deadline for the return of the fireplace passed, the communication stopped. I hope our concerns are understood.
