Review: Complaint is that Fame Cleaners lost my tailor made blue wool pants. During the week of Nov 10 I collected my dry cleaning order from Fame Cleaners that included 3 pairs of dress pants. I packed two of these pants in my suitcase for a business trip that I took from Nov 15-21. During the business trip I discovered that one pair of the pants were not mine- black dress pants larger size than mine. I called Fame on Nov 17 and spoke with the manager [redacted] to report my missing pants and the wrong pants that I received. He checked his inventory of unclaimed blue pants and located 3 pairs and asked me to come in to see if any of these were mine. I returned the black pants that were incorrectly delivered to me to Fame on Nov 22 and inspected the 3 pairs of unclaimed pants and none of these were mine. [redacted] told me that he would keep searching for the missing pants.I returned to Fame on Dec 2 and [redacted] advised that my pants had not been found or recovered. He took my cell phone# and told me that the owner of Fame would call me to discuss a resolution. On Dec 4 I delivered a letter to Fame agreeing to wait until after the holidays to see if my pants were recovered and if not I would expect compensation for replacement pants. To date the owner of Fame has not contacted me. On January 9 I could wait no longer and so I purchased replacement pants at a cost of $166.63 and delivered a copy of the store receipt to Fame with a letter requested reimbursement. To date I have not received reimbursement and despite numerous assurances from the staff at Fame, the owner has not contacted me to discuss the situation.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement in the amount of $166.63 to cover the cost of replacement pants that Fame Cleaners lost.

Review: Complaint is that Fame Cleaners lost my tailor made blue wool dress pants. During the week of Nov 10, 2014 I collected my dry cleaning order from Fame Cleaners that included 3 pairs of dress pants. Review: On 07-19-13 I brought in a king size white washable down comforter for cleaning. I was told it would be ready in a week. I returned in a week andi wasn't ready because their equip was not working and they had sent it to another store. I returned a week later and was told it wasn't ready because when the quilt was returned to them it was damaged. An employee stated that the other store had probably rushed it. The stitching was pulled out in large places and the down filling was not even. In addition there were large orange stains that were not there previously. An employee told me it was due to something they did to it. I said this was not acceptable and they needed to re-stitch and clean the stains. I was told they would call me in a week. They did not. I returned again and found stains still on it and the stitching was not repaired. I informed them the comforter was damaged and they needed to reimburse me for the price and the pre-paid cost for cleaning. An employee said they would do that. On 8-15-13 the owner, Dave, called me to say they were not going to cover the cost and he would only give me store credit. Cleaning price was $29.17 and the comforter cost $180.00. The owner was very rude and said it was not their responsibility and he could not justify payment. He offered me $45.00 total in store credit. This is not acceptable.Desired Settlement: I tried to negotiate with him for at least half the cost of the comforter and the price of cleaning, He said no. I want the amount we paid in cash of $29.17 for the cleaning. I also think he should be responsible for at least half the price of the comforter as it is ruined. He told me " I am the owner of both stores and I will not justify paying for this."

Review: I took a bed comforter to Fame Cleaners to be cleaned. When I picked up the comforter and put it on my bed, it had shrunk in size and no longer covered the bed; in addition, the filling had bunched up and was no longer evenly distributed. I returned it to their store because the manager, Edgar, said they could fix it. A week later I again picked it up and nothing had changed. Edgar said he would speak to his manager and have him call me. He asked how much I had paid for the comforter and I told him approximately $150, plus I had purchased the matching pillow shams, bedskirt and valances for an eight foot window so the total was around $300. Without the comforter, the entire set is ruined. I contacted Edgar on several different occasions and he said it was up to the manager but the best he could do was give me an in-store credit for their charge. As of now, still no update. I feel they should compensate me for the cost of the comforter plus provide me with a refund of the cleaning fee. I have been using them for years and this is the first issue I have had but this lack of ownership in ruining my comforter is not acceptable and if I do not get an appropriate response from them I will seek restitution in small claims court for the cost of the entire $300.Desired Settlement: I feel they should compensate me for the cost of the comforter plus provide me with a refund of the cleaning fee.

Review: Approximately 05/12/2014 I took several items to Flair Cleaners to have them dry cleaned. On 06/07/2014 I picked up my clothes but was informed by the employee assisting me that one of the items was missing due to the tag used to identify the clothes was missing. She also brought several items to me to see if I could identify any of the items as my missing merchandise. I explained to her that I would have to check with my wife because I couldn't remember what the missing item was. The store associate asked if I could bring my wife back to look at the clothes that she had, and I agreed to do so, later that day. When I returned with my wife, she did not recognize any of the loose clothes as hers and the store associate asked if we could go home and go through our clothes and then return on Monday to let her know exactly what was missing. On Monday June 9, 2014 my wife and I returned to tell the store associate which item was missing and her demeanor was very different than the previous Saturday at which time she pointed to the stores policy on the wall and stated "i'm sorry but we are not responsible for items left over 30 days", at which time my wife and I became very suspicious. My wife informed the associate the it had not been 30 days and that she needed to find the missing pants. We also asked to speak to a supervisor but was told that no supervisor was available. We suspect the this associate/ business has done something unethical and we dont know where else to turn as we feel that we're being given the run around and then once the 30 days are up they're gonna refer.to the 30 day policy which is not applicable in this case because we did not abandon our clothes. The clerk told us to give her one week and I feel that she's procrastinating until it has gone beyond the 30 day time frame. Please helpDesired Settlement: I would just simly like to have my pants back and to not ever have to deal with this establishment again.
