Flat Fitty

Review: We inquired with Flat Fitty to manufacture some hats for us. After months of trying to get them to design that hat correctly we found a new company to go with. The hats were not made how we wanted them to be made or how our specification sheets said they should have been made. On the first sample the plate was bent and cracked, also did not have a suede crown, did not have real animal skin or strap in the back. Flat Fitty offered to do a free one after that. The second sample hat had everything except for the animal skin. In order for us to actually place a order with there company we needed to make sure that they could deliver on the promises they made to our company. Flat Fitty could not make the hats we were looking for but they lied to us and said they could. In order to get our hats made we had to get a mold made as well. The cost of a sample hat is 100 dollars which was paid in and the cost of the mold was 200 dollars which we paid in full. We have receipts for both. We received our sub par hats but when we supplied a address and asked for them to send us the mold that is rightfully ours they stopped replying for about a month. I recently emailed a guy named chris at there company and asked what would be our estimated arrival date for the mold and he said they melted the mold down. Then within the same hour he told me they cold still complete the hats, but I thought to myself how can you complete hats without the mold. So obviously Flat Fitty has some extreme integrity issues. No where in any of our forms of communication was there anything stating that I would not be able to get my mold mailed to me or receive a refund or that it would be melted down if we did not want to receive the full order. We are not asking for a full refund we just want our mode that is rightfully ours or the cost of the mold. I do not understand how you can take something our company purchased and melt it down instead of giving it to us. I just feel like they are a little salty about losing a lead. We gave them multiple chances to get the hats correct and the still could not get it right. We just want our mold that we purchased.Desired Settlement: Get our mold we purchased or the cost of the mold.

Flat Fitty strives to make every customer happy. We have manufactured custom luxury headwear for over 900 clients in 90 countries.

We were able to contact our customer and resolve the issue. We made initial contact on September 6 and came to a resolution on September 10. This is our response to the complaint for the Revdex.com website:

"Flat Fitty provides custom luxury headwear products to our customers. Ultimately, we sell finished goods. However, along the way there are manufacturing processes and associated costs. In this instance our customer misunderstood a manufacturing cost with the price of purchasing a finished good. The customer was under the impression that they were purchasing a mold, when in fact they were paying to have a mold made.

Flat Fitty strives to have excellent customer service. We are pleased to have resolved this issue with the customer. We have also taken the time to make our forms and agreements explicitly clear as to avoid any future misunderstandings".
