Flat Rock Landscaping

Landscaping company refuses to return my calls or replace dying 6-foot Green Giant tree and cracked (flagstone)stepping stone in my walkway. [redacted] from Flat Rock Landscaping was hired to complete landscaping work in my yard. Of the work he completed the following two jobs had problems.* Flagstone stepping stones for a walkway from my driveway to the side door of my house were installed. The first week they were put in, one of these stones cracked (it was too thin) and [redacted] would not come back to replace it.* Six, 5-6 foot Green Giant trees were planted along the back of my property the week of March 18, 2013. [redacted] told me the trees were guaranteed for one year.About three months after the trees were planted, three of the trees appeared to be dying. I called [redacted] and asked him to stop by to see what was going on with the trees. At first he kept saying he would be by to take a look at the trees but would then cancel saying he was too busy. This went on for several months. As the trees continued to get worse, I called the nursery that recommended [redacted]'s company. The owner was very nice and told me she would have [redacted] call me. He told the owner he called me and of course he never did. After several more calls to the nursery, and still no phone call from [redacted], I decided it wasn't fair to continue bothering the nursery with my problems. At that point, [redacted] still refused to return any of my calls, acknowledge my messages or come to my house to resolve the problems. The only complaint here is that [redacted] would not return my calls or come back to fix the above mentioned problems. [redacted] was paid in full for all the work he completed. Desired SettlementI would like [redacted] to replace one of the 6-foot Green Giant trees. The other two trees are barely alive and still look sickly and I want [redacted] to address why these trees are not doing well. I want the cracked Flagstone in the walkway replaced.Business Response /[redacted]/In response - Flat Rock does not have any 1 year guarantee for any plant material installed. The only guarantee is that plant material is healthy at time of install. I do not guarantee plant material due to the fact that it is out of my control on how the plants are watered and treated after we leave the job. I did send text message in response to complaint to this extent to phone number I had as contact. I do apologize for the misunderstanding or if information did not get relayed as such to the homeowner. As good faith, I will replace the 1 tree even though Flat Rock does not have any 1 year warranty. The stepping stone will be replaced also. I will not replace any other trees.
