Review: Went downstairs to the beer hall for a birthday party on May [redacted] at 10 pm. The bartenders were rude, the waitress (there was only one waitress working the entire downstairs during the Rangers Playoff Game) was completely inattentive and unhelpful. We had to literally flag her down to place an order. When we did finally get the [redacted]'s attention, he was really nice and tried to remedy the situation (lack of service and rude staff). However, when we later tried to get more drinks for the table, the bartenders refused to serve us because we had complained to their [redacted] earlier in the night.... seriously? pure retaliation, so unprofessional, and just, wow.We honestly were not an unruly/difficult crowd, and there would have been no complaining to the [redacted] had the service been adequate, had we actually been able to place pretzel orders without flagging down the waitress multiple times, had our drink orders been taken, etc. it was beyond rude.Not only was I upset at the rude treatment of the entire staff, including the bouncer downstairs who refused to let me speak with his [redacted] when I asked multiple times, I was also upset because I had emailed the restaurant ahead of time explaining that the group would be there for a special occasion. I received no response via email, which is quite rude to begin with. A gift for the birthday boy that night was a personalized, engraved beer boot, and when we asked the bartenders if they would fill it up, they flat-out said no. Perhaps this was a health-code violation, but seemed quite harsh. After that, I asked the waitress (when I was finally able to get her attention) whether she could bring a lighter or matches to the table so that we could sing happy birthday, and that request was refused as well. What really stuck out to me as inappropriate however, was how the bartenders, waitress, and bouncers were all treating us poorly simply because I had complained to their [redacted]- I was flat out refused service by the bartender for this.Desired Settlement: I really would like a refund for some of the drinks purchased that night at the party. At one point the [redacted] did send over a piece of cheesecake with a candle in it to our table, but the bartenders continued to refuse to serve us for the rest of the night and our waitress was still ignoring us. We eventually had to move our party elsewhere. I was told that the [redacted] would call to apologize the next day, and this never happened.
