Flatirons Moving Reviews (3)

Complaint: [redacted] I am rejecting this response because:Flatirons response is incomplete and not entirely factual.First, items were listed on the damage report - and note that these were only the significant losses Of the 31, were listed as denied with no explanation Some were repaired and the large majority listed as “pending.” Thus, there has not been final communication of what was denied, why it was denied (if it was denied), or status on all the items There was simply a refusal to work to resolve the issue, which is what led me to file a claim with the Revdex.com.I moved into a brand new home I provided pictures of the damage to the walls, doors, etc Some of the damage remains (like the threshold, and the chips in the garage floor, some of the wall scratches are still visible) Others needed to be repaired to get my home in living condition All the while we were communicating in hopes of resolutionThe proof of service is the walls/doors being restored to their original condition They had months to inspect the damage and make a repair Flatirons never requested an inspection, they only asked for photos which they were provided And, the only action Flatirons took was sending the furniture repair person Nothing more.Note - I have attached the maximum allowed - photos - which demonstrate some of the damage Many more are available. The marble table had a barely visible hairline crack (so small that someone had to point it out in order to see it) I spent much time on the phone the day of the move discussing this with their sales person and management, as did their staff I expect we could get the phone records to prove so I told them I didn’t want it (nor any of the other possessions) moved unless it was going to be crated and they agreed to take it to be crated (They told me they were going to take it to Commerce City to be crated and I agreed to pay for the crating.) They did not do so and now deny having made the agreement When the table top was delivered it was in pieces with one of the edges cracked off.Flatirons moving is correct in that they sent someone to repair the damage to wood furniture Some of the items were impossible to restore to their original condition based on the damage incurredHe did the best job he could and I signed off on those repairs as it seemed the best that could be done I am not making these items an issue Only the outstanding items which have not been addressed.I have worked in good faith in an effort to resolve this issue without a willingness on Flatirons' part to take responsibility for anything EXCEPT that which their furniture repair person could correct. The items which were damaged by Flatirons and not addressed are: Home Damage:· Front Lawn· Bannister· Wood floor· Walls· Front threshold· Walls/trim in home· Doors in home· Garage floor· Stair railingFurniture:· Leather couch· Upholstered dining chairs (see tear in photo)· Massage chair· Inversion table· Marble coffee table· Patio furniture- area rug mat Note that the upholstered chairs were ripped, the fabric is not able to be matched, and, as a result, the complete set will have to be replaced Sincerely, [redacted]

Customer filed claim to note damaged items during her moveFlatirons Moving worked with several of the customer's assistants to repair and compensate for a number of the damaged items We hired a repair firm to take care of the damages done to this customer's items and residence in which
the customer signed paperwork reflecting her satisfaction of the work performed.Certain portions of the claimed damages were denied for various reasons There was a claim for property damage of walls and sod/lawn that the customer had repaired on her own, before we could review or take action to determine if we were at fault, and no receipts or proof was ever given as to repairs being done even though we contacted customer and companies mentioned for proof of service There was also a marble table that was already cracked when our movers first went to residence to move the customer, and we took pictures and wrote on inventory forms that the piece was damaged and we could only move it free of liability. We worked with this customer for many months in good faith to repair damage caused during her move, and have paperwork showing pre-existing damage to certain items, which is why certain parts of the claim were denied

I am rejecting this response because:Flatirons response is incomplete and not entirely factual.First,31 items were listed on the damage report - and note that these were only the significant losses.  Of the 31, 3 were listed as denied with no explanation.  Some were repaired and the large majority listed as “pending.”  Thus, there has not been final communication of what was denied, why it was denied (if it was denied), or status on all the items.  There was simply a refusal to work to resolve the issue, which is what led me to file a claim with the Revdex.com.I moved into a brand new home.  I provided pictures of the damage to the walls, doors, etc.  Some of the damage remains (like the threshold, and the chips in the garage floor, some of the wall scratches are still visible).  Others needed to be repaired to get my home in living condition.  All the while we were communicating in hopes of resolution. The proof of service is the walls/doors being restored to their original condition.  They had months to inspect the damage and make a repair.  Flatirons never requested an inspection, they only asked for photos which they were provided.  And, the only action Flatirons took was sending the furniture repair person.  Nothing more.Note - I have attached the maximum allowed - 4 photos - which demonstrate some of the damage.  Many more are available. The marble table had a barely visible hairline crack (so small that someone had to point it out in order to see it).  I spent much time on the phone the day of the move discussing this with their sales person and management, as did their staff.  I expect we could get the phone records to prove so.  I told them I didn’t want it (nor any of the other possessions) moved unless it was going to be crated and they agreed to take it to be crated.  (They told me they were going to take it to Commerce City to be crated and I agreed to pay for the crating.)  They did not do so and now deny having made the agreement.  When the table top was delivered it was in 5 pieces with one of the edges cracked off.Flatirons moving is correct in that they sent someone to repair the damage to wood furniture.  Some of the items were impossible to restore to their original condition based on the damage incurred. He did the best job he could and I signed off on those repairs as it seemed the best that could be done.  I am not making these items an issue.  Only the outstanding items which have not been addressed.I have worked in good faith in an effort to resolve this issue without a willingness on Flatirons' part to take responsibility for anything EXCEPT that which their furniture repair person could correct. The items which were damaged by Flatirons and not addressed are: Home Damage:·      Front Lawn·      Bannister·      Wood floor·      Walls·      Front threshold·      Walls/trim in home·      Doors in home·      Garage floor·      Stair railingFurniture:·      Leather couch·      Upholstered dining chairs (see tear in photo)·      Massage chair·      Inversion table·      Marble coffee table·      Patio furniture- area rug mat Note that the upholstered chairs were ripped, the fabric is not able to be matched, and, as a result, the complete set will have to be replaced.
