I was recommended to *** by my business insurance agent*** knew that I was an agriculture contractor*** was complaining about having problems with the gaps between the driveway, 2- car garage and the wall next to the houseShe was having moisture and water seeping thru the asphalt, concrete
and garageI told her that the only option was, not to put in expansion joints between the driveway, garage and wallShe agreed to it*** went and picked up the permit herselfThe city told her that I was not allowed to pour the sidewalk and apron by the streetShe agreed to have me pour her concrete from the sidewalk to the back of her houseWe poured the concrete on a SaturdayOn Sunday, *** asked if I could stop byShe complained about having stains on her drivewayShe told me that she made a big mess when she spilled coffee on the new driveway and dragged a torn garbage bag with coffee liquid leaking from itShe dragged this bag from the front of her driveway to the back of her garageShe was worried about the coffee stains and I told her that I hope those coffee stains would go away after the concrete curesOn Monday, we went and cut the concrete in sections, which is normally doneWhen the cutting is done, we normally sweep the dustOn that day *** started complaining and she said she did not want any dust on the new concreteShe asked for the crew to wash her concreteMy crew used her garden hose and broom to wash the dust off the concreteThat was not enough for Tami; she insisted that she wanted her concrete to be super cleanOn Wednesday, my crew went back and started to power wash the concreteThey soon realized that the power wash was making marksSo they stopped*** wanted the new concrete against her old, wavy and crooked fenceWe did not use forms there because we use expansion joints*** told my crew that she did not like the gaps between the fence and the new concrete with the expansion joint in it, so *** told the crew to do something about itSo the crew took out the expansion joint and they went and bought bags of concrete to fill in the gapsThere is nothing wrong with how the concrete was pouredThe only thing is the fact that she agreed not to have expansion joints put inJust to clarify, we had the expansion joints put in, by the sidewalk and the crooked fence but she was unhappy and had my crew take them outWe had no choice but to fill in the gaps with other concreteThe red marks that *** is complaining about are red chalk lines, which we used to mark the height on top of the concreteThey will go awayI’ve never had to work with such a difficult customer before*** has been blowing up my phone with nasty and harassing text messagesMany farmers, concrete companies and customers that I have been doing business with for years would be glad to make a reference letter in my regard if need tooI am confident that I did everything I could to make *** happy but I felt pushed around and nothing was good enough for her, no matter what I didI understand that I do not hold a residential contract license, but again, I was referred to *** by my business insurance agentIt is my understanding that I should have not poured the sidewalk and apron by the street …that I wouldn’t need the licenseThat was the reason *** went and got the permit herselfShe knew I was not allowed to work on the sidewalk and apronI do not agree in returning a refund of $ 6,The remaining outstanding balance is $ 2,which I agree not to collect this remaining amount
