As previously noted, this was not disclosed to me as I’ve requested the refundable fare over the phone!! As I do realize you are wanting to refund me the $200 and give me a $800 [redacted] credit, it’s unacceptable and not justifiable. Again, I spoke with a carnival rep (supervisor) and explained my scenario. She told me in similar Situations, carnival offered a full refund!! However, the travel co that booked it must request it!! This was not my fault or problem to begin with!!
Rather than arguing over what was and was not disclosed, I did inform the customer about the restrictions on the booking, customer was offered several options, unfortunately through misunderstanding rather than fraud the fare that the customer was booked under is non-refundable, the deposit was made...
directly to [redacted] Cruise Line and is not in the control of FLC Travel Group, as was explained to the customer to cancel the booking will incur a $200 penalty and leave the customer with a $800 credit with [redacted] Cruise Line to be used for any booking the customer chooses anytime within the next 24 months, I will offer to refund the $200 penalty to the customer and he can book another trip with the credit through [redacted].
