The cancellation of the account still has not been sufficiently explained: there would be no reason to cancel an annual membership shortly after paying for itIn addition, if I were to re-open the account now, I would need to pay more than the $refunded in order to do soThis is why I asked for the membership to be reinstatedBy simply refunding that fee and asking me to pay, you are effectively forcing me to pay a higher premium to re-sign up without providing significant justification for the action taken.Regards,

Zipcar is notified of any violations that occur during reservations as the cars are registered in our nameWhen we are notified we then inform the member who had the vehicle at the time the violation occurredUnfortunately it can take time for us to be notified and then in turn let the member
knowMs*** spoke to one of our Member Specialists in the Portland office in January and he removed the $processing fee from the accountWe cannot however removed the ticket cost

I accept part of the response, but also reject part That is, I will accept the $refund; however, I also want another refund of $for the June 30, 2015, incident--I do not want a one-hour credit to my Zipcar account

The vehicle Ms*** reserved was not returned to it's home parking location after her reservationIt was found in a different location and was on fireSince she was the last person to drive the vehicle she is responsible for all charges

The systemic problems that keep availing themselves is that there is zero communication between those who take the notes at the call centers and those that occupy the local Denver hub office This is only a fraction of everything that has occurred since beginning this program through the University On top of everything, the agents at the Denver office sent an 'internal no respond address' email with an overt threat that any continued complaints (inherently including Revdex.com complaint) shall and will be met with a cancellation of the membership This is regardless of the amount of money ourselves or even the organization we onboarded with have spent Since beginning this program a month and a half ago, we have on a single night needed to handle some last minute business travel In that night we made several complaints as our original reservation was delayed over three hours because the first vehicle that was supposed to be there a *** series was not even at its posted and marked location for parking at 16th and Little Raven in LoDo Denver So we were transferred to another ***, an Xto be precise that was to be located at *** *** garage in LoDo The vehicle was there but there was no key attached nor in the car itself thus the vehicle would not start Once again, we were several hours behind and even lost a unique business opportunity to a competitor based on these ongoing 'games' Later, a call center supervisor actually went above and beyond and contacted us to try to make it up to us, didn't offer or supply a discount or credit but moved us once again into yet another vehicle at another location At this point it was fruitless as three hours had gone by and we already had lost several unique opportunities throughout the course of an evening So, the most recently complaint about being in Silverthorne and the vehicle not starting while out nearly in the middle of nowhere in the Rockie Mountains is indeed, yet another driven and deep concern The response that their badgering of one of my employees was even a fair response to be noted should be further examined as *** simply needed a replacement card from the office and without clear reference they only asked him what the current problems still withstanding to his knowledge that needed to be addressed with the local Denver office came up as him unable to respond to such because he has zero business in the handling of such affairs, he simply is told to drive to certain places and conduct certain acts and elements of business that he knows how to commence He is no representative nor vehicular lease liaison for the University nor for my overall business in which such hearsay as it has so been presented should be stricken from the record and should be found to be unremarkable The vehicle in Silverthorne which arose to the most recently complaint (only one among the many many others that seem to pop up every time we need their services and are willing to pay a little bit of money) The vehicle's starter had given a fault reading advising the vehicle will not be able to be started by remote keyless start and there was no option how to manually start the vehicle Furthermore, the vehicle was giving chassis and frame warnings the bulk of the time at times the system would disable the anti-lock brake system and the vehicle could not even be driven in a straight line All of this were built up concerns that the the vehicle was not suitable to be rented out in its current condition The icing on the cake as it would be happened to not be the continuous ongoing warning alarms from the vehicle as the vehicle could still be in motion but the fact while in Silverthorne Colorado in the mountains the computer's motherboard or CPU processed a fault and would not allow the system to be started remotely and there was no option to manually start the vehicle We had been on the phone, both of us with at least agents crossing over the period of a couple of hours Not only did this ruin the overall evening, but again it cost more time and lost money when business needed to be handled as we didn't even get offered the option to possibly switch out with another vehicle so this one as it should have been should have been promptly removed from service and given a thorough inspection as the vehicle indeed without anti lock braking system nor proper control and a starter feature that would only systematically and randomly choose when to start or when to fail and stall the vehicle was only the additive variables to the entire situation and its overall puzzle Why these concerns are never brought to light or even researched is beyond explanation; however, it is fascinating that the local office would subscribe that this was a one time situation and only having not even a fraction of the details in regards to ALL the ongoing current and even past situations, events and problems seemed to be lost in the storm of miscommunication and overall enjoining into a systematic failure of how business should indeed be run and how such a company should have handled the situations in an ongoing and holding these as important matters indeed As all it would have taken was a systematic failure or disabling of the antilock brake system which did occur while on mountain terrain and ice which had recently accrued in the mountains which could at some point have caused a severe or fatal/mortal accident If a company fails to care to stay privy to such an important liability and overall impact of deep risk as this provides, then indeed their overall risk management within its system and design fails all in all while the only applicable appreciation or focus remains on the outrageous bait and switch tactics that occur to incur fees and additional hidden fees onto every bill including Tolls that were never had nor processed as the only roads with express lanes taken were highway whose express lanes aren't even fully built or in full operation Also, pre-rental quotes coming in showing dollars rental applicable per day of renting such vehicle would after only three days turn into 600-dollars plus in fees, rental rates and various other miscellaneous mantra added onto the sundae with a cherry on top for such a billing scheme and pyramid When we were willing to pay 300-dollars for three day rental, and instead of attempting to cure previous angst or even handling requests for investigations to be had Simply, new bills and fees were chopped up and one bill would be credited, debited, credited and debited and broken up into random 5-various billing tables that make no sense nor allusion to any accounting derivation or applicability to proper billing rates and trends that would match up with the properly emailed and verified initial quotes Any company that can fleece 300-dollars, and then motivates itself to not do just that, but instead nearly triple that original amount and charge an obscene amount of money while counterattacking with overt threats to cancel the entire membership profile and all accounts within for a single other complaint that might be made in the future, as well as an obvious attempt to sweep the garbage under the sofa, as the actions taken were simply from a professional organization to resort to overt threats and retaliatory actions that were promised to take place if any other complaints would be made in the future as well as applying an overall dismissal to the ongoing and previous complaints stating that the complaints coming in are erroneous, mysterious and looney, as well as dismissable I think it now lies in the hands of the respondent corporation to explain all these and all the other ongoing events that are clearly detailed in the various notes taken over the course of every phone call that came in to the various call centers over time and explain after reviewing all those calls, and all those notes, and all the letters that were written physical and electronic and finally piece together the overall picture and then at that point provide an equitable and a true response with the allure of a true professional company as opposed to the countermanding attempt by the local office to appear as customer service representing a local Fraternity party in college Anyone who sends out official and noted correspondence with the inclusion of overt threats as well as a lackluster and obvious paranoid and misappropriated decision to simply chalk up the complaints as being dismissable and not their problems to be completely an abhorrence that should never be allowed to continue for any other consumer in the future.To think all of this, and all these problems which should have spelled legal recourse for such a company costing thousands or more to them in liability and damages; whereas, we agreed to pay what we originally agreed on paying but requested the other amounts or upwards of 60-percent of the overall bill generated be waived as one time courtesy and the monies refunded for the ABSOLUTE ONGOING mismanagement of handling the service of these vehicles and managing their overall safety.If they dare respond, may they respond in detail and with professional application as opposed to simply posing as a mere innocent diamond in the rough One side here has subsequently benefited from the other party, as in the complainant in this very situation, while the other party was damaged and without resolve AT ALL nor at ANY POINT And it must not and will not be allowed to continue and occur to other consumers and future customers as these concerns are not merely annoying 'complaints' or 'jests' requiring an overt threat in response These are valid and legitimate claims, they have continued now for a couple of months and they still will continue UNRESOLVED This will be my last demand and request to made whole from this and all of the other multiple and numerous events that have occurred in shining detail since ever first giving them a try and thousands of dollars fleeced later The situations still occur, still exist and go unnoticed as well as uncorrupted until something dare I say tragic occurs based on the dilapidated condition these vehicles are in when put into service, before anyone lifts a finger or even moves their head in response to the overall situation This cannot and should not be left to chance nor should be allowed to be swept once again and again many more times under the rug.I bid you all a good week and a nice day and thank you for the opportunity to present my information today

The ticket violation costs were removed from Mr***s account on June 6th after we were able to confirm with the municipality that they had received both payments and would refund us the amount we had paidMr***s account is open once again and he is free to use the service

We have been in touch with Ms*** and her membership has now been reinstatedIt has been put on hold previously due to the application fee being initially declined

We are so sorry to hear that Mr*** has yet to receive a zipcardSince February we have sent three different zipcards to the billing address, ***

This makes absolutely no senseIf my light is yellow as my front bumper reaches the crosswalk I do not have ample time to stopZipcar's claim that I have to yield to oncoming traffic when my light is yellow is absolutely because if my light is yellow the light perpendicular to mine would be redTherefor this means that the other car would have had to stopI had witnesses that backed up my story. Mr*** was using our website to transfer money, charging reservations to one card and then switching the credit card on file and canceling the reservationsHe was refunded all money owed to him as of November 19th

ZipCar's response is very general, and would be fair if I simply didn't return their vehicleThat is not the case thoughI held the vehicle and told them to come get it as a result of them threatening to report it stolen during my reservationI was planing to return the vehicle before they did there action which was wrongI still ask all the fees be erased as they we're paid for all the reservations except the one spoken of before.

The Zipcar member contract states, " A Member is responsible for any and all damage that occurs to a Zipcar vehicle while in the Member's possession or control (including the entire time the vehicle is reserved under theMember's account), even if damage is weather-related,caused by a third
party, or arises from similar causes, and is responsible for the full value of any damages or injuries caused to third parties or their property." We understand that MsRankl reported another driver damaged the vehicle but we do not have any information regarding the driver to pursue themWe are unable to remove the charge from Ms***'s account
