I was charged an erroneous 39.99 fee after canceling, plus two months of monthly fees. I was told it would be refunded, but it never was.
This location closed but continued to bill my bank account. I canceled my membership at the end of June, and then was charged a 29.99 and 39.99 fee in July. They never answer the phone at their new gym, so I sent them a Facebook message. They stated the 39.99 would be refunded, but there was a 30 day cancellation policy, so they wouldn't refund the 29.99. Fine. But they never refunded the 39.99. Then in August, my account was billed again for 29.99. I contacted them again via Facebook message, and was told again the 39.99 from July and 29.99 from august would be refunded, but it never was. I filed a dispute with my bank.

Desired Outcome

refund of all charges from July and August for wasting my time

I'll contact our biller today and find out why those haven't been refunded. Ty

(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I have been told that they would contact their biller since the first of July, but nothing has been refunded. They most recently told me on August 6th they would clear everything up with their biller. They haven't been true to their word.

I am being charged a membership fee for a gym that is permanently closed and I was not given notice of the closure or information on a new location.
I joined Flex Fitness Gym over four years ago. The gym closed in March due to COVID-19. I noticed in June that the gym was empty and a for sale/lease sign is posted on the property. I went to the door and saw a note on the door that said, "No trespassing, Building is closed. I called the phone number on the gym's website and found that it is no longer working.

Next, I went to my bank and completed a form to have the bank draft stopped.
On July 17, 2020, I received a letter from Affiliated Acceptance Corporation stating that I owed $40.00 ($25.00 for membership and $15.00 for the return fee). The letter also said that payments received more than 10 days late are assessed a $10.00 late fee. It said I will owe $75.00 on August 1, and if not paid by August 11, I will owe $85.00.
On July 20, 2020, called the number on the letter and spoke to someone in customer service who said. The gym had moved to a location in another city. She said they posted a notice on the door before they moved but I did not see it nor did I receive any correspondence from them saying they were moving. I told her I no longer wanted to be a member of the gym. She said I had to give 60 days notice in writing.

They have been closed over 60 days and had I known they were moving I would have cancelled my membership sooner. I sent a letter to Affiliated Acceptance Corporation on July 20, 2020. I do not feel that I should have to pay these fees. I had no problem with paying the fees when the gym was closed and I am not asking for a refund of those fees. I am however asking for them to remove these fees they are billing me for and remove discontinue my membership. hope that you can help me regarding this matter.

Desired Outcome

I would like these fees removed and my membership canceled.

We emailed our members and notified our building is being torn down. We are still open 5 Miles up the road at 3679 Roosevelt blvd. Some members we may not have had a current email address. Gym is still open 24/7. It's a better safer building

No method available to cancel membership. No communication from business.
The gym has not been open now for over 3 months. In those 3 months, of 7 outgoing calls to the registered phone of the business, only one call even reached the owner (other calls gave no ring tone at all). In that one call (May 15th), *** explained to me that the gym was now open and that he would call me back with information. He never did. Since then, none of my followup calls have been answered. Today I was charged my regular membership fee and still cannot access the owner to cancel.

I visited the gym and the doors are wide open with moving trucks out front.

On their FaceBook page, you can see they are moving locations a half hour away. No official communication was sent via email or phone. This is done under the radar. They have automatically enrolled all Flex Fitness members at this new gym named 'Champions Fitness'.

Desired Outcome

Refund of $60 and cancellation of membership and all subsequent payments.

Gardner's membership has been canceled

my husband and I have not been members for over 3 years. We have completed 3 cancellation documents, in person. We are still charged monthly.
Our account is consistently charged monthly although we have called, dropped by and sent accounting proof that we are still being charged. One employee mentioned that he left the job, came back to work and completely remembered us completing cancellation documents. I call and can get no attendee or a return phone call. I can provide accounting proof that my account has been charged for almost 2 years post cancellation. On our last in-person visit, 3 months ago the gentlemen has us complete another cancellation form but claimed the copy machine did not work to allow for copies.

Desired Outcome

I would like for all future payments to stop. At one point, the payments stopped then began again. I budget and when this payment comes out, it completely throws off my acocunting mesaures. I am willing to provide previous bank statements to show these charges over the last 3 years

Looking to resolve this matter to prevent future charges. Cannot get in touch with the owners due to covid 19.

the owner, uses shady binding contracts to continue billing customers until they can cancel in person. Cancellation cannot be done by phone.
I entered into a contract with Flex Fitness to pay $15 a month for one year in November 2019. This December 2020 rolls around, and I notice two new charges from Flex Fitness. One was a $15 charge, and one was a $39.99 charge. I called the owner to ask about this. He told me the contract forces you into a monthly membership unless you cancel 60 days before the original membership ends. I then asked him to cancel my membership over the phone. He said cancellations can only be done in person, and even then I would be forced to pay for two more months. If my contract ended and then was forced to month to month, how can I be forced to pay for two months on a month to month basis? I then went to the gym to cancel, but no one was at the front desk. I found this very unsurprising, as *** the owner is clearly to trying to defraud customers to get every penny he can out of them.

Desired Outcome

I would like to be reimbursed for the December monthly charges that I was shadily forced into. If those can not be reimbursed, I would like to at least cancel my membership without having to pay for 2 extra months.

Contact Name and Title: ***
Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXX
*** is not the Owner. Manager. On your contract you signed in very large print it Reads: 60 day cancel notice upon canceling. It's the largest print on the page. You agreed and signed. *** owns Flex Fitness. No gyms would ever allow a cancellation over the phone due to Bank fraud. You have to sign off your bank draft in person to cover legal issues. If this is shady then contact your senators and ask for lighter banking practices. Thank you.
