Review: I am writing on behalf of the Board of Directors of a [redacted], VA Homeowner Association. Our community employed Flippen Law as our legal representative and counselor in 2012, with **. [redacted] Flippen as our assigned attorney. She provided the Association counsel in homeowner disputes and managed delinquent accounts (monthly assessments). In the first 3-4 months of our contract with Flippen Law, their office was responsive and timely in providing services (e.g. Demand Letters, Lien preparation and filing, etc). However, an abrupt change in service occurred for reasons unknown to us. Phone calls to the main office number and **. Flippens cell phone were ignored, as well as repeated e-mail messages. In an effort to salvage our contract, **. Flippen established bi-weekly conference calls with the Board members. No more than 4 calls actually took place over the course of six months; toward the end of our contract **. Flippen failed to even attend the calls. With no other alternative, the Board terminated the contract with Flippen Law. **. Flippen indicated our case files would be returned by the following week and her final invoice would be issued within 10 days (Flippen Law also failed to issue monthly invoices to our Association). Nearly 20 days later we have not received our case files or a final invoice. This neglect is now creating legal issues for our homeowners as they try to resolve existing cases (e.g. liens).Desired Settlement: We would like Flippen Law to return our case files and issue a final invoice immediately.
