pour a footer and build a wall on the footer to address the problem and that I could do all the excavation work, but would not do the footer and/or the wallI at this time even informed Mrs [redacted] of a few contractors names that I could give her to give her an estimateShe was very upset and said that she did not have the monies to do this and what could I do to helpI informed her that the cheapest fix would be to seal the doorway under the crawl space and fill in all voids and building a mound of dirt/topsoil to keep the water away from the homeThis would only be a solution that would divert the water runoff - but not entirely correct the settlement of the pad(s)She again was very upset and I feel at the time, also intoxicated I did inform Mrs [redacted] that I would refund any monies due her for not completing the small slab on the outside and bill her only for material and my work done to stabilize the concrete slabDue to her son becoming very obnoxious and threatening me - In regards to the [redacted] Claim ID. [redacted]
Flood City Construction, LLC denies all allegations presented in her complaint.
While Flood City Construction, LLC was indeed the company Mrs. [redacted] did choose.
To my knowledge, and as...

told to me by Mrs. [redacted], she only received one other quote - not the
many as she has stated. Not that this does [redacted]er, it is just setting up the fact that the [redacted] has from
the beginning misconstrued almost all facts regarding any and all work done at the residence located at
[redacted], [redacted], **. [redacted].
As per request I offered Mrs. [redacted] 2 quotes:
One based on work done to her basement due to a water meter blowing apart, which consisted of
pouring approximately 2 yards +/- of concrete in one room in her basement, putting up the cheapest
paneling available Lowes (which Mrs. [redacted] - verbally approved of because she said money was
tight) and installing a outside water faucet from the room being worked on. No monies for this work
was ever paid for by the [redacted]s.
The only work that was performed for the basement repair work quote was the installation of the
outside faucet.
The Second quote was based on the sewer line work that Flood City Construction, LLC did preform at
the residence AND Flood City Construction, LLC DID receive final payment for this work. This work
was done in accordance with all rules and regulations as established by the town of [redacted]. An
inspection by the [redacted] - the engineering firm hired by the town of [redacted] was conducted
and as all my projects that I have preformed before the [redacted]s and after have passed with high
regards. [redacted] ([redacted] @ [redacted]
Note: One hook up was never completed - the line running to the upstairs washer - due to not being
able to access this area - upon repeated requested to do so. A very minor hookup that would and did
not cause any damage, nor would do so in the future.
In Mrs. [redacted]s complaint that I hooked up the line wrong, she is correct. Here is the explanation.
In examination of the existing piping throughout the room and in my experience I hooked up to the
existing copper line that is located on the "right hand" side of the lines going to Mrs. [redacted]s washing
machine - located in the rafters at her residence, which in most cases is the cold water line in most
homes. I had knocked on the door at least 2 separate times that day, knowing that both the son and
husband of Mrs. [redacted]s were indeed home - no one would come to the door and in all attempts I
did not receive an answer It should be noted here that this was common occurrence at this residence.
Twice before I had knocked to ask to view the plumbing to determine a course of action for my work
below - each time I was told by Mr [redacted] that I would have to wait until Mrs. [redacted] returned
home from her job.
In any event, the line was indeed the wrong line - that I had hooked on to...not a mistake, but an
educated guess that was wrong due to whomever did plumb the home originally. Once this was brought
to my attention - that it was the wrong line -1 returned on two different occasions to address the
situation. This can be verified by neighbors that witnessed me - personally stopping by and trying to
get access to the work area. I spoke with both neighbors located directly across the street and to the left of the [redacted] residence, questioning both as if there was a problem within the household... if someone
was sick or in the hospital...due to the [redacted]s not answering my calls. Both neighbors can verify that
this indeed happen. ([redacted] @ ###-###-#### and Mrs. [redacted] @ ###-###-####). I was told by
the neighbors that the [redacted]s consume quite a bit of alcohol and at most times are in a shape you
would expect out of too much consumption. I experienced this many times myself - with Mrs. [redacted]
personally informing me that she was indeed drunk and that she was sorry - and on at least two
occasions almost falling due to what I perceived as her being intoxicated.
Before any work was done on the second quote (except for the outside faucet - which was corrected) -
Mrs. Dorcheck approached me to look a **rt of her concrete porch (located at the main entrance to her
home) that appeared to be falling in - as she claimed due to water damage done when the main sewer
line was put in, changing the contour of the ground around her home. I informed her that it appeared to
me that the water run off was due to nearly a zero "revel" of the curb - that over the years - due to
muUiple repaving of the roadway the curb now had nearly zero capacity to hold back any water. I did
examine her crawl space under her porch - by way of access through a small door way in the basement.
A doorway that Mrs. [redacted] informed me she had never opened as long as she was a residence of [redacted]
[redacted]. I informed Mrs. [redacted] that I could stabilize the concrete **d and keep it from dropping
in elevation to a certain degree - that it would be a temporary repair that may last for quite a while but
should be considered a temporary repair and future action should be taken to make it a more safe
condition. At the time I informed her that to stop existing water from running into her home I could
pour a small concrete **d where there was a small hole in the ground that was taking in water run off
from the roadway. She agreed to this for the sum of $1,500.00.
It should be noted here that Mrs. [redacted] did contact her insurance company - who did send out a
representative and I believe an expert in the engineering field to seek monies to pay for a more
substantial repair. I was actually there - upon Mrs. [redacted]s request when these people did come to the
residence. As to my knowledge she was denied a claim and at one point wanted me to speak to the
representative to persuade her that the problem was indeed an insurance claim. I did speak to the
representative at one point when Mrs. [redacted] handed me the phone on a spur of the moment when
she was arguing her case with said representative - I acknowledge to the representative that I had no
idea why she wanted me to speak about the claim - that I had no knowledge of what her coverage was.
In any event, I purchased floor and beam jacks and womanized wood to secure the concrete slab and
did secure both sections of her concrete porch. In working in the crawl space and upon removing
dirt/rock, it was determined by me that there appeared to be no footer and/or wall left on the outside
portion of the concrete slab. I informed Mrs. [redacted] that her problem was more than what I could
correct for $1,500.00 and that a slab would not work. In our conversation, Mrs. [redacted] removed a
small slab that she had placed to cover a hole that was nearer to the roadway than a hole near the
concrete slab itself ..and said she thought that the undermining was all the way out to the roadway. I ask
Mrs. [redacted] why she never showed me this before and upon examination of the hole -1 informed her
that she would need to completely excavate the entire length of her porch and all the area that was
undermined - pour a footer and build a wall on the footer to address the problem and that I could do all
the excavation work, but would not do the footer and/or the wall. I at this time even informed Mrs.
[redacted] of a few contractors names that I could give her to give her an estimate. She was very upset
and said that she did not have the monies to do this and what could I do to help. I informed her that the
cheapest fix would be to seal the doorway under the crawl space and fill in all voids and building a
mound of dirt/topsoil to keep the water away from the home. This would only be a solution that would
divert the water runoff - but not entirely correct the settlement of the pad(s). She again was very upset
and I feel at the time, also intoxicated.
I did inform Mrs. [redacted] that I would refund any monies due her for not completing the small slab on
the outside and bill her only for material and my work done to stabilize the concrete slab. Due to
her son becoming very obnoxious and threatening me - at one point or two telling me that I should get
down there right or else. Did I hang up on these people - yes - on at least 3 occasions when the
overtone was threatening the intoxication level seemed out of control. At one point the son did ask for
my insurance company name - which he did receive. Flood City Contracting, LLC's carrier: [redacted]
[redacted]
did do a through investigation and I was informed that all allegations and/or claims were
denied. The conditions were preexisting - this fact can also be established - I'm quite sure by
contacting Mrs. [redacted]s very own insurance company.
You can contact Mr. [redacted] at [redacted] Insurance @ - ###-###-####
or by email @ [redacted]
I am waiting for a full report that Mr. [redacted] is sending -1 will forward it to you if you would like.
I did contact my attorney and a letter and a bill for work done along with a request to have access to the
residence to gather up approximately $1,000.00 (new value) of tools that were left on site is being
processed.
Flood City Construction, LLC. Although a young company, has over 35 years experience in the field
and already has gained the respect of all other clients and those related to the industry for not only
quality workmanship but also of how we personally take on each project with the highest standards and

Mrs. [redacted] has attempted to collect unspecific damages 3 times this year alone from insurance
companies. Flood City Construction, LLC being one of them. It is the my contention and opinion that
the [redacted] family are having financial difficulties and is attempting to use whatever means the can to
gain monies to resolve issues that the financial carmot afford to address.

negative remarks in regards to this unfortunate misrepresentation of the facts by the [redacted] family.

Review: As of January 2014, there was major flooding in our basement due to a water pipe breaking and flooding out the interior flooring and walls of the said basement. After contacting our insurance company and finding and getting many quotes and estimates from varies companies around the area, Flood City Constructing LLC was company picked due to the work promised that would be done to the house, for the price that was asked. The QUOTE (not contract, which was never given or signed by said contractor or the household it self) was dated and started around/on 3/11/2014. The money the insurance company **id out to the household was then adjusted based on the price that Flood City Construction LLC. agreed to do on the house. Even though it strictly said on the "quote", "TERMS AND CONDITIONS-2. **yment in full upon completion of project", the contractor insisted that the money be **id to him before to complete the project. It is now 6/11/2014, almost exactly 3 months after the "DRAFT" was written up and nothing has been done to the basement that was agreed upon between the consumer (this household), The Contractor (Flood City Construction), and our insurance company. After asking him MANY of times to give prices, estimated completion dates, receipt, and contract, none of have been given due to refusal of the company. NOT ONLY was the job not done even close to complete, the work that WAS done is now causing MAJOR damage to the inside of the property! After changing pipes in the basement that were not talked about, written in an agreement, or explanation why it was done, it is has now caused MORE DAMAGE THEN WAS EVEN REPORTED TO BEGIN WITH. From unfinished pipes, open piping leading the the sewage/water lines, hooking up an outside hook up WITH SCULDING HOT WATER, and extreme negligence to the work that was done, there is now a steady stream of water that is depositing it self into the room that WAS NOT WATER DAMAGED!Will not pick up phone calls or,EQUIPTMENT FROM HOME AFTER TERMINATION OF DUTIESDesired Settlement: 1.Total refund on money **id UP FRONT without a contract.2.Work to be finished by a true contractor.3.What ever is needed due to negligence and damages caused by said negligence.4.Need equipment removed IMEDIATLY!
