home since the wood is coming from Canada We advised them that the delivery of their hardwood will take aprox 4- 6 weeks from the day of purchase & they were fine with the timing . the wood arrived & we start the installation of the Wood & install solid thread & risers to be stained on their stair case . at the time of installation [redacted] was out of town . after the installation was done [redacted] brought to attention of some minor toughed up to be done which was a normal thing to do after installation & We responded on timely manor then . he stated that the stain on one steps doesnt match with rest & that complain was not valid but we promised that sfre will change that piece but he has to wait until we get the piece which was a special order & takes some time after a couple of days he stared calling to ask when the piece will arrives we respectfully told his to be patient we will call you as soon as we get it but he was not happy about it & there was nothing that we could do from our side to expedite the shipment although we asked the manufacturer to do so. any ways., the piece arrived & we replaced it & everything was just fine until his wife came back she started new line of complain that had nothing to do with our services .the wood is a per finished products due to nature of the wood some boards looks slightly lighter or darker & can't be changed & she was not happy . We at floor & design did our best to satisfy ** & [redacted] on their Hardwood installation in their house but seems like that were not satisfied & complained about. as far as we are concerned that matter was happily solved between us.Please let us know if you needed any further info in this matter.Best,Fred S

Mr S[redacted] was hired to install carpeting and flooring in a rental home located in Loudoun County. Total price $6,600.00. The cost was to be charged to my credit card. Upon completion of the job I requested an invoice and was promised one would be forwarded to my home that day. After an additional 6 phone calls over a 2 month period, I have yet to receive an invoice for the work performed. I contacted my credit card company and stopped payment on the charges. Still no response. Eventually, after one day of 10 phone calls I received an invoice which was barely legible.
To top it off, it took several phone calls to get the trimming completed on the floors.
Customer Service is non-existent.
I would absolutely never recommend this company.
It is horrible.

Review: Contracted for installation of hardwood floor in bedroom. Stipulation was that the flooring would match the [redacted] hardwood installed by the builder in our home. The new hardwood installed by Floor and Design is a different color finish and does not match the existing floor as promised by the company. We have complained and the company owner. We sent a photo to the company clearly showing the difference in color. The owner promised to consult with the manufacturer ([redacted]) and then come out to consult with us to determine the best solution for the problem. Fred made an appointment, but never showed. I have called the company and sent an email, but Fred is ignoring our effort to resolve the problem.Desired Settlement: We want Floor and Design to remove the wrong hardwood and install flooring to match the existing hardwood in our home as stipulated when we contracted for this job. We are willing to discuss options, but the company is now ignoring our complaint.
