We are extremely unsatisfied and frustrated with the work of laying the carpet in our house performed by (name of company). We have contacted the owner in this regard who has shown to be untrustworthy and totally unreliable. He makes numerous promises in order to receive the contract for the work with no intention of keeping them. We took photographs of the shoddy, poor workmanship and bad quality and incomplete work performed by his workers to show to him. Despite his repeated commitments he did not even bother to visit us to see the photographs. Would we ever hire him again --- CERTAINLY NOT. Would we ever recommend him to anyone else --- CERTAINLY NOT.

On a scale of A-F; this company has already been given a grade of D-

Review: They installed a large area of tile for me. While the salesman stated that they would stand behind their installation, the installers claim installation is warrantied for 1 year - and they state that most problems occur in the first year. None of this is true. 18 months later the tile "tented" over a large area. I called a flooring inspector who pulled up some of the tented tile and reported that the thinset never adhered to the tile in most places (likely the thinset sat too long before the tile was put on), that the ridges were still very much visible so clearly the tile had not been placed onto it correctly, that the incorrect tools were used for the thinset, that no expansion joints were used to allow for thermal expansion, and that the thinset was put down incorrectly. I reported this to the company and they insisted that the problem was with the slab. They then said that they would repair the loose tiles even though it was "out of warranty". They sent a crew out who told me over the phone that they had no tools but would "talk to me at the house". They walked in,picked up a loose tile and promptly said the slab moved (there was absolutely no crack or indication of movement in the slab) so it was caused by a foundation problem. When I pointed out that the slab was not the cause but it was clear that the tile was improperly installed, and I had an independent consultant report stating such, they concluded that I was yelling at them and left.Desired Settlement: The majority of the tile in the family room have a "hollow" sound when tapped - indicating that most of the family room tile was not properly installed. There were no extra tiles provided from the original installation and the sales department claim that the pattern is no longer available. Removing the tile that is clearly not adhered properly to the floor may break one or more pieces. As a result, the only solution is to remove the entire area and install new tile properly.
