Box 1000DuPont, Wa. 98327Complaint # [redacted]/[redacted]This customer was given two seperate repair visits to his home.  (Original purchase was dated 10/28/2014, deposit given 11/4/2014 and vinyl was installed prior to 12/15/2014 and the carpet was installed prior to 01/12/2014).  One visit was to dry out a floor that got wet and one was to do with the carpeting.  We fixed what he asked us to at no charge.   No mention of a vinyl problem in the bathroom doorway was mentioned on either visit to his home.  When he called our store for a third time, we went to his home and he claimmed the damage was done to the vinyl because there was something under the vinyl.  Upon inspection, there was no foreign debris under the vinyl flap.  There also was no defect in the subfloor that could have caused this flap to appear.   We have seen these types of flaps (tears) due to foreign objects stuck in shoes or moving heavy items in a drag motion across the vinyl surface or even dropping something heavy onto this floor.   After two years we told him we would be glad to repair the floor for a charge, and did he have some additional material to work with.  He said he did, and after about five months he called and said he found the material.  We told him the charge would be 112.50 plus tax.  On quote [redacted], dated 4/26/2016.  At that time he got very angry about being charged for this work after two years.  We wrote the quote for his repair but he never scheduled with us.   This was not our fault, he damaged this and did not want to be charged for the repair. Vicki F[redacted]Flooring Outlet Inc. 1936 S.
