Initial Consumer Rebuttal /* (3000, 12, 2015/10/13) */
(The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.)
I understand multiple trips were made at "no charge to us." However, simply put the blinds do not workAs the installer and likely not having installed hard-wired blinds before, they sold us this product and claimed competence at installationThe problem here is that it is unclear whether there is an installation problem, blinds problem (comfortex), or motor problem (somfy)Everyone puts the blame on someone elseWhile the blinds may work after the installer leaves, they fail a short while later consistently...not sure how that clears the installer out of the problemSo how does this become a warranty issue when they haven't worked from the startFloors by farmer was quick to sell a product and collect money but wants no responsibility is ensuring the product works...all they have done is passed along numbers...how about paying for capable installers who have put in hard-wired blinds before to fix the problem they createdIt's easy for them since they can stop offering the product to others due to their incompetence without having to solve our problem now that they have our moneyTerrible business, would never work with again or recommend to others
Final Business Response /* (4000, 14, 2015/10/23) */
Floors by Farmer had a conference call with Somfy the motor company, comfortex the blind company this weekI spoke with Wendy from comfortex on a solution today Friday OctThe next step for a solution is that Paul from somfy, who has talked with his engineers and say that there is a voltage problem that can be fixed by Paul to come out to the house a fix this issue, Paul will be in this area November 9-and is open to go to the customers house when it works for them

As the installer and likely not having installed hard-wired blinds before, they sold us this product and claimed competence at installation. The problem here is that it is unclear whether there is an installation problem, blinds problem (comfortex), or motor problem (somfy). Everyone puts the blame on someone else. While the blinds may work after the installer leaves, they fail a short while later consistently...not sure how that clears the installer out of the problem. So how does this become a warranty issue when they haven't worked from the start. Floors by farmer was quick to sell a product and collect money but wants no responsibility is ensuring the product works...all they have done is passed along numbers...how about paying for capable installers who have put in hard-wired blinds before to fix the problem they created. It's easy for them since they can stop offering the product to others due to their incompetence without having to solve our problem now that they have our money. Terrible business, would never work with again or recommend to others.
