The customer asked us to transfer data from floppy disks to a flash drive We accept payment by paypal
When we undertake a project, we attempt to recover files, but are not always able to do so Our website clearly indicates that we charge for the effort to
recover files, not for success
In this case, we recovered files from some of the floppy disks As a courtesy to the customer we refunded a portion of the payment based on the fact that we were able to recover files from some disks
However, no good deed goes unpunished
This customer demanded a refund directly from us Unfortunately, we can only refund the money to the customer's paypal account His refund complaint is with Paypal, not with us
The customer claims that we sent him a computer virus We routinely run virus checks and we have not found any virus Actually, you will note that he got the virus from software he downloaded from some other site
I offered to send the customer an email with all the files attached to the email The customer asked us not to contact him

I don't understand your issue Are you saying the flash drive was blank? We can email you the files if you want

My issue is no longer with the status of the refund I have stated in a previous email that I was refunded, days later My issue is how it was handled When I emailed the business in question the customer service was unsatisfactoryAs an example, when I asked about the refund they simply told me to take it up with them Understandable but no attempts were made to helpIt is my understanding that in giving me the option to use my debt card or PayPal I actually had a choice This wasn't the case I had to deal with PayPal who I don't care to deal withSecond example, when given this answer I asked to speak to someone in charge Their response was "why?" As if I had to give them a reason before being transferred Then after all that they just told me to call the number for which not even you (the Revdex.com) could get a hold of according to a previous emailI have this companies email correspondence to prove this to be true as well.

Just wanted to update you on my complaint.  I was refunded my $30. Days later after submitting this complaint. However my complaint still stands that this is a poor business and should be investigated further.  I went through a lot with them.  Thank you for all that you do.

Review: This company advertised it would transfer my 3.5 " floppy disks to a "free" Zip drive if I mailed them my disks at a charge of $1.95 a disk. This is not the problem. There are two payment options. PayPal or debit card. I elected debit card. They claim to have refunded me $30 back due to nothing being on some of the disks which I was in agreement they could keep provided I was refunded some money back because they sell those blanks. They claimed to have refunded me to a paypal account which I never paid through. That's the first problem. When I emailed them about this they said their was nothing they could do about it. No help there. There is no refund. I emailed them 3 times on different days about the refund and they just basically pointed the finger at paypal. When I asked to speak to the person in charge the demanded to know why. I told them and they just told me to call the 1 800 number. Nobody answers that line. The run around. I emailed them again and told them that the Zip drive they sent me contained files that could only be looked at through a software that contained a virus I had to have removed before damaging my laptop. They have very poor customer service reps and I had to cancel my debit card that was used for this purchase. Bad business with this company.Desired Settlement: I would like my refund that was promised in the amount of $30. I think that is fair considering I paid $60 for nothing but an empty Zip drive.
