I am the office manager for Floral Vale Family Medicine. We do not do our billing on-site but employ an outside company named Medical Billing Group. her unhappiness with the billing company to my receptionist. I have not received any prior phone calls or letters from the customer. It is possible she has sent letters or made calls to the billing group.have researched the complaint and this is what I have found. The visit on 5/15/17 was an office visit and the patient paid her co-pay of $40 at the time of service. This was an appropriate charge and payment.The visit on 5/3/17 should have been billed as an annual wellness visit, but due to a coding error it was submitted as a regular office visit. The billing group is going to re-submit this claim to [redacted] with the correct coding. The patient did NOT pay a co-pay at the time of service on 5/3/17. On 10/2/17, the patient made a payment by phone of $29.94, this amount will be refunded to her by check. There is no other balance due for these dates of service.The patient's account was NOT sent to collections at any time and her credit has not been affected.Sincerely,Dawn K.Practice Manager
