I will say that receiving the notification of this claim left me surprised and embarrassed. I became aware of the customers challenges on Thursday October 29, when the customer called the store and spoke with my ManagerIt was the first time that either of us heard
anything about any issues on this projectWe have claim guidelines where we try our hardest to handle installation issues within days of an issue arising and we try to manage materials within days of a material failureI say try, because there are times when dealing with some venders is challenging due to distance and inspection requirements
That being said, this obviously did not happen in this situation and I am trying to learn how and why the salesperson not only failed to involve management at the first hint of a hiccup but also why she failed to follow company policies regarding the customer claim process
After receiving the call on October at 4:45pm the Manager scheduled an appointment the following afternoon with the clientAt that time the client communicated all of the issues that were reported in their complaint to the Revdex.com, with the exception of alerting us to having filed a Revdex.com complaint and requesting the $refundAt October meeting the request was made to receive 50,Alaska Air Miles
As of yesterday Monday November 2, we have located the alleged backordered product, ordered additional product to cover repairs and completion of the project as well as offered to complete the master bathroom, which was not on the original contractWe have designed a solution to the poor design of the top stair in order to create a more finished look for the client and provided a new installation team to run through the project and correct the issues we have been informed ofIn addition, while we have our clients sign off on all ***-base trim and the possible damage during removal of brittle trims, we have offered to install the client’s ***-base as well
We are currently awaiting the response and approval of our plan with the customer but hope to have the entire project completed within 1-days of assembling all of the materials hopefully before ThanksgivingAt that time I will work through any negotiation of the final details of the clients request for refunds or miles
As I stated at the start of this letter, this complaint was a shockThere are many things that can come up in a flooring install and we try and discuss many of them during the contracting processI am investigating how and why this occurred and the sales person will receive disciplinary actionThis is unacceptable and I am truly embarrassed and sorry that a representative of Florcraft Carpet One treated *** and *** or any customer in such a way
