Can't speak for their residential loan services, but as far as their commercial loan department they are the WORST. I'd go so far as to say that if I landed on the Moon and they were the only bank there I'd fire up the boosters and head for Mars. Incompetent and ineffective loan officers, reprehensible loan committee, draconian policies - please, please do yourself a favor and find another bank for your commercial business, or you'll be very sorry. Barely one small step above worthless, one giant leap below a bank you should give your commercial business to. If I took the time and effort to post this feedback, please believe it is to help others from getting screwed.....

January 2013 I scheduled bill payments to be withdrawn from my checking account on a Friday (my payday). The funds were removed on the previous Thursday instead which resulted in multiple overdraft fees. When I called the bank to inquire why this had occurred I was advised that because the following Monday was a holiday they automatically withdraw the funds a day early and that I was sent a message to my online banking inbox. The message inbox is not linked to my email, phone or mailing address. I explained my dissatisfaction to the customer service rep that the online banking would allow me to schedule funds removed on one day and then change it to another. Doing this without my approval. The bank rep appologized and recognized this not a good way to have the system set up and refunded the overdraft fees. I was told at that time they would look into getting the system updated so this wouldn't happen again. I guess that didn't happen because I again scheduled bill payments to be removed October 11th (payday). Again, the bank removed the funds a day early October 10th resulting in four overdraft fees of $30 each. That's a total of $120. I again called the bank and was offered half of the fees ($60) to be refunded. The manager, [redacted] explained to me that I should have read the message box and been aware it was a holiday weekend and that this could occur since it had happened in the past. She also again recognized that it is a flawed system allowing people to schedule payments one day and actually removing the funds a day earlier than scheduled. I expressed my dissatisfaction with her solution. This should have been fixed on the banks end so it does not continue to happen. Bottom line, I scheduled a payment oct 11th, the bank moved it to Oct 10 without my approval. Funds were removed from my account without my approval which in turn resulted in $120 in fees. The bank basically took $120 from me. I have not had the partial amount she promised refunded to my account ($60) I want the entire $120 refunded to my account. I am in the process of transferring to another bank since FSB is unable to handle my business or money with integrity.Product_Or_Service: Banking servicesDesired SettlementI want the full $120 refunded to me, someone to educate [redacted] (manager main office) on how to properly hadle issues like this, FSB to fix the online banking issues around this, a letter of apology, a smooth closing of my account which will happen next month.Business Response Florence Savings Bank has fully investigated and researched this complaint. As requested, we reached out to the customer through email to apologize and we provided a full refund on October 22, 2013. Since systems have limitations, we also offered tips and solutions on how to prevent this situation from happening with future online bill payments. On October 30, 2013, the customer confirmed via email that this complaint was fully resolved. We thank you for taking the time and effort to bring this issue to our attention.

Unauthorized withdrawals from my acct. while incarcerated over 3 years. The bank has not responded to my inquiries. I am now living in a nursing homeOpened account approximately 4 years ago and have been receiving direct deposit from VA pension of $1400 per month. In January 2014 I was admitted to a nursing home in CT and attempted to access my funds. With help from staff, I sent a letter inquiring about my funds and was told the account held only .47 cents. Bank staff stated they would get back to me with a record of withdrawals but to date have not received any information. I suspect that my account has been compromised by an unauthorized person. Desired SettlementI would like to have my funds replaced. This matter needs to be investigated. (This complaint was filed with the help of nursing home staff.
