Review for Pat Floria of Floria Electronics
We went through so many contractors to get our house properly cooled (and warmed for the winter) with ductless hvac’s, it was mind-numbing. Pat was the only one who was straight-forward, cared about his work and his clients, and demonstrated true knowledge and skill in what we needed done. He made no empty promises – he simply did what he told us he would do. Even contractors we interviewed here on [redacted] put on the typical sales show, made ridiculous promises, feigned expertise with silly statements, and so on.
We even needed him to fix mistakes made by a previous it contractor (he from [redacted]). Pat fixed so many little things in the house, as well, and didn’t ask for a dime. His prices are extremely fair – fair for us, that is, because his skill and professionalism should exact far more than what he charged!
The best part? He took the time to explain and fill out paperwork to get us $2,000 in rebates as a Cool Homes contractor, another $250 in rebates, and inform us about the federal tax credit for the work he had done for us. In a few weeks we will have him and his crew back to do more work in our basement.
Call Pat first, and then hire him. Don’t waste your time with most of the people out there. He did so good for our family.

Review: We hired Floria electric from a special they had on [redacted] in July. [redacted]) sent his worker [redacted] on July [redacted] to do various jobs. He worked well but slow. By the time he was done at 5 PM he still had on his work order to install 2 hi hat lights in my kitchen. I told him it was ok, we wanted additional work done & I would contact [redacted]. After talking with [redacted] & telling him everything I wanted, he worked up a proposal for $950 to do the following work-move outlets on kitchen wall, install 4 new hi hats with trim & bulbs, install wiring & then install customer supplied lights for under cabinets-(which had yet to be installed), do some re wiring on a 3 way switch (plus install a dimmer switch for the new lights to be installed after the cabinets), in kitchen & install a new outlet for my living room AC. We also asked him about moving a phone line from the kitchen to the dining room, which in an e mail he said his guy would look at while he was there for no charge. His worker [redacted] arrived late on August [redacted], due to getting into a minor car accident while driving here, but he went right to work. He did everything he was supposed to do that day, however he didn't have the hi hat trims & 2 of the 4 bulbs were defective. also when he wired the switch for the future under cabinet LED lights, he left the switch that was there, when we told [redacted] we wanted a dimmer switch. [redacted] told me on the phone that he would install the dimmer switch after the cabinets were installed because sometimes the cabinet installers damage the switch. [redacted] had sent a proposal via e mail that day as [redacted] was here working & I didn't see it until it was time for [redacted] to get paid & leave. the e mail requested an $875 deposit-(job was quoted for $950) and the $75 balance paid upon completion of all work. The banks were already closed for the weekend & I do not have a debit card.

I did have $800 in cash & I asked [redacted] if we could give [redacted] that and a $150 balance due upon completion of work, he agreed. So as far as I was concerned these were the terms of the contract. We also informed [redacted] at that time that while [redacted] was coming into the house with his ladder he accidentally hit into my side exterior door causing a big gash in the moulding, we told [redacted] how come he didn't wait for us to hold the door open for him, at first he denied doing it but we told him we-(my husband and I) had both seen him hit the door, he apologized & said we'll deal with it later. At that point the work for the day was finished, I talked to [redacted] on the phone, we told him about the door-(which at the time, [redacted] told me he used to build houses and could he take a look at the door & fix it himself) , the trim & bulbs & the dimmer switch. Both copies of the contract were signed by his worker that $800 was paid & a $150 balance was due upon completion of all work, anything not listed was written in by hand & we each took a copy. At this point everything was OK. In the next few days I asked [redacted] to recommend under cabinet LED lights & he recommended WAC lighting. We found an authorized dealer & purchased the 3 lights we needed installed. This is where our problems began, [redacted] ignored our requested e mails & texts for a date to finish up this work. He would tell us he texted & called but we wouldn't receive either. Then he tells me he may be starting a big job & would be unavailable for up to 2 months, I told him we paid him the majority of the money & had live wires dangling off of our kitchen wall, that he should take care of old customers before he takes care of new ones. All of a sudden he starts requesting money before he can come here & that someone else has to install the under cabinet lights & his worker didn't damage the door, plus he gave us a discount for $224.80 to arrive at the $950 total amount and he wants to be paid that too. I have everything in writing & can provide copies of the contract plus messages sent thru [redacted] & texts and e mails. He has the majority of the money and now doesn't want to complete the job. [redacted] never came here, The only communication we had with him was thru [redacted] messages, a couple of e mail & texts & finally a phone call which he hung up on me on 10/**. We kept asking [redacted] to call us or would leave messages on his voicemail because we felt we could better solve everything actually speaking to each other, One more thing, his guy cut appx 20 different holes in my walls & ceiling, didn't bring a shop vac to clean up nor did he put a blanket down to protect my floors & furniture. we had to clean up his mess.Desired Settlement: Since we are dealing with electricity & I do not trust him to do the job correctly, I now have to find another electrician to complete this job. I have called 3 other reputable electricians & I got quotes from $300-$450 to do this job, plus the costs of the 4 hi hat trims and 2 bulbs, And there is a specific dimmer switch-($68.00 plus tax) for the 3 LED lights we purchased plus there is the $189 to repair my door. My door was custom made & We had to buy a whole moulding piece as that is the only way it is sold. If he agrees to refund my money I will not pursue this with the Department of consumer affairs & small claims court. What this man fails to realize is HE drew up the terms of the contract as far as his fee goes and the work he was supposed to perform for that fee. We also have pictures to support our claims-
