Florida Aesthetics and Wellness Reviews (%countItem)

I went to get hyperpigmentation treatment, I was very honest with the tech that I would be going on tropical vacation, I was advised to wear sunscreen ... which I did...
when I got back from my vacation I had marks left on my back from the IPL.. I reached out concern and they wanted to "correct it with peels"
I went for second and 3rd opinions at highly experienced providers and I was advised that an IPL treatment should have never been done on "me" to treat such.. due to my skin type.. also that the peels is no the right method of correction -
correcting it would take months and it might not completely clear out all the way.. I emailed the owner in hopes that I would be given my money back since it was close to 1k .. and she refused went to say that they tried to correct it .. and I wouldn't allow them NO I WOULD NOT ALLOW YOU.. I am in this bc of your place.. I should have been advised that it would be best to wait after my vacation .. NO ONE EVER EXPRESSED THAT TO ME... you are supposed to be professional and the knowledge one to decline a service if you don't feel its the most appropriate .. I didn't sign anything that I was going against any recommendations ...

Florida Aesthetics and Wellness Response • Aug 19, 2020

This is a false statement from the patient. Without going into personal details about the patient, she had the treatment on May 15th. The patient signed a consent stating some possible short and long term side effects,- which include hyperpigmentation. The patient reported her concern about marks from the treatment on her back on May 29th. The patient was advised during consulting and before, during and after treatment to stay out of the sun. When the patient reported marks on her back, she told us that she has been at the pool, and this way way before her vacation. Her vacation was not until July. Despite that, and despite the fact that the patient had not complied with staying out of the sun after the treatment, we offered her additional free treatments to help offset the damage she had incurred from not complying with the post treatment requirement. We kept seeing the patient without any charge. She was advised before her trip (which was 2 months after her original treatment) to stay out of the sun, to keep her back covered, and to apply sunscreen religiously. The patient came back from her vacation with worse condition, and very clear additional sun damage and tan lines. She stopped coming for the continued treatments we had offered her for free. Her last visit with us was in August. She contacted us in October saying she went to a different facility, and she already spent $750 to fix her condition, and she expects that amount to reach $1,200. We told the patient that we were not party to her decision to go elsewhere, nor are we familiar with what treatment they are offering her, and we would not pay for her treatment there. We invited her back to the office to check her condition and recommend an action plan. She refused. We have not heard from her since November 2019.
