This private company sends a letter that looks like an official government agency claiming that a $fee is due to apply for a certificate of status for a nonprofit incorporated company in Florida BEWARE! This is a scam and the fee does not need to be paidThe phone number on the letter never answers a call to ask questions

Received a notice stating my business needed an additional governmental form before conducting business
Received notice that I have not filed/applied for a Certificate of Status Banks require this notice, it says, in order to conduct business and open accounts This notice states it has simplified this process for me and I'm to submit $dollars to the Florida Regulation Enforcement Council so that my business can be 'In good standing' with the state of Florida I'm outraged at this as a Certificate of Status is easily obtained from the State of Florida for $ It is not needed to open bank accounts and it is not required by the State of Florida in order for your company to do business Everything stated in this notice is done so in an effort to enact fear into the new business owner and prey on their inexperience The phone number included on this notice is I'm keeping the notice and the return address envelope they provided which states their business

Received a "Final Notice" in the mail demanding that I pay $immediatelyI tried calling the provided phone numberIt only allows you to place a messageNo one answers the phoneI looked up the website address, it is an employment advertising siteThe notice says that I must comply with Florida Law of any criminal convictionsI have never been charged with any crime, have never had any convictions, nor have I had any disciplinary actions taken against me!I have no idea what this notice is and will not be scammed by this companyI have never had any violations on any past listingsSo I have no idea what this notice isIt states that I must mail my $and then my Agent Board Listing will updated

"FREC" contacted us by official looking mail for $as we started new non-profitWe received nothing; their phone doesn't work properly
As we were beginning a new non-profit, "FREC" (FL Regulation Enforcement Council) sent us very official looking mail stating "entities require a Certificate Status...to prove they are...authorized to transact business..."
We sent them check on 10/25/and have never received anythingCalls to phone number they provided drop themselves after approximately seconds
