Complaint: ***
I am accepting this response because we have purchased elsewhere due to the mistrust that we will be dealt with fairly if we pursue furtherI would, however, like to supply a responseThere never should have been the need to renegotiate the advertised price after the trade in value of the trailer had already been determinedIt either is or isn'tThe trade's value did not, nor should it have, changed from just a few days in passing and simply demonstrates the willingness for your company to change numbers as you see fit. I never claimed the sales people were discourteousI simply pointed out that they used discriminatory sales practices and shady math to prevent a sale. Also, as I stated above, we did not return because we have chosen not do business with them and have signed on an RV through a competitorYou may consider the complaint closed, but rest assured that my experience will not result in any referrals - and those are typically far more valuable than one sale and a petty thousand dollars

Company's response below:From: [redacted]Date: Mon, Jan 11, 2016 at 2:54 PMSubject: CASE ID# [redacted]To: [redacted]
To Whom it may Concern,RE: CASE ID# [redacted]               Mr. [redacted]...

came in to FLORIDA RVS to look at a [redacted]. Salesmen [redacted] greeted him and show him the RV. His [redacted] was not with him. He was happy with the unit and said that he would get him [redacted] to come in and see it. He stated that he had a unit to trade in as well, but that his [redacted] “wouldn’t” let him buy our RV unless he was able to get $9,300 for his trade-in. After running numbers, even though his trade-in was only worth around $6,000, Salesmen [redacted] came up with a deal that would work for Mr. and Mrs. [redacted]. Salesmen [redacted] wrote numbers down for Mr. [redacted] so he could discuss with his [redacted]; lot price of $32,900 plus tax, tag, and title fees, and $9,300 for their trade-in, pending the condition of the trade-in unit. After this, Mrs. [redacted] came into our dealership and said that she saw the RV listed on RVTRADER for $31,900 and she wanted that price. Salesmen [redacted] told her he would have to renegotiate the numbers with the online price. She said she wouldn’t do the deal unless we gave her the online price with the same trade value. We explained to her with a price change we have to redo the numbers. We told Mrs. [redacted] that we could use original numbers or change the deal to reflect the online price and reevaluate. She didn’t choose either option and left our dealership.                Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] came back to our dealership together a day or two later. Salesmen [redacted] was not in so they spoke with Salesmen [redacted]. Mrs. [redacted] told Salesmen [redacted] that Salesmen [redacted] DIDN’Tgive her any numbers and asked Salesmen [redacted] to give her a trade-in value for her unit with the online price of the [redacted] at $31,900.  Salesmen [redacted] ran the numbers and told Mrs. [redacted] he could give her $6,400 for her trade-in unit and sell the new unit for $31,900. AFTER Salesmen [redacted] gave her the numbers like she asked him to Mrs. [redacted] wanted to know why the value of her trade-in decreased. Salesmen [redacted] advised Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] that since Salesmen [redacted] DID in fact already run numbers for them that they would need to speak with Salesmen [redacted] about the deal and that Salesmen [redacted] would be back at the dealership the following day. Neither Mr. or Mrs. [redacted] came back to our dealership or attempted to contact Salesmen [redacted] or any other sales people to continue negotiations.                We are still willing to sell Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] the [redacted] at the online price that Ms. [redacted] requested of $31,900. Our Salesmen were exceptionally professional and courteous to Mr. and Mrs. [redacted] during their visit to our dealership.Thank you,[redacted]
