March I contracted with Solar and Air to have hurricane impact windows installed in my home As of June 6, the job has not been completed! Initially It started out great After Solar and Air installed the windows in my home, none of them work! Who spends $8,on new windows that don't work After getting my money I am being told the manufacture has to service the window, no rush apparently for Sola and Air Also the employee that initially plastered around the window did a horrible job, it looked like my wall around the window was doing a wave! Also he left the windows filthy You would think Solar and Air would have sent someone the next day to correct the problem, again no rush on their part An employee was sent out the following week to correct the problem I attempted to get them to repair the windows prior to inspection but they did not Of course the windows failed inspection I regret contracting this job with Solar and Air Bad business practices
Florida Solar & Air was recommended by CGI windows, they would not work with my own installers (for which I don't recommend CGI) My experience with Florida Solar & Air was terrible I would never recommend them to anyone I purchased hurricane impact windows and doors from them Their work was not only sloppy and with a complete disregard for building codes and hurricane construction building codes; I had to call Coral Gables building department to come quickly because they were trying to hide their bad building violations with concrete; They used the wrong size 1.5" gold colored screws even after the building inspector showed them the correct 3' concrete screws to use; I came home one night to find a sliding door open, after my initial fear that someone had broken in, I realized the two (2) 1' golden screws (in violation of building codes) holding the door to the wall came loose; They left all the screens piled against the house and did not install them; They left glass doors unfinished and showing all screws; Supervisors blamed installers for bad work and installers blamed supervisors All in all, I'd rather have my impacted wisdom teeth pulled rather than use Florida Solar & Air again
